Slim online. It doesn't seem the same way here. When I called up a few Wal-Marts, a lot of them had never gotten a shipment. I found one that had 18 in stock. I asked him how fast they were selling and he said he hadn't sold one yet. So I hurried up to get there thinking they would be gone fast. When I got there, there were no lines and I was the first customer for one. This was this morning at like 11:00am.

I really do like the new slim more than my Fat PS3. It sure as hell downloads a lot faster than the old one. It also looks a lot better in person than in the pics or vids of it online. While I don't like the color of the new buttons, they do not feel as cheap as they look when you press them. They have a satisfying click when you press on them. Also, if you can make a japanese account, download the Afrika moving theme. It is pretty cool to see animals walking around in your background.

To anyone taking a jab at this, just remember that the PS3 Slim has dropped to the number 2 position twice since hitting number one. Both times I was surfing the web scrolled by Amazon, saw it was number 1 popped over to N4G and within 15 minutes saw a story it was in the number 2 position. I then went back to Amazon and it had dropped.

Just remember who began the "It moved one position so this warrants a story" tennis match. It is one thing to write that a product has topped out online retailers including Amazon. But this?

No, it's not pointless. It's just based on how many items they have shipped out. He needs to look into algorithms and computer science if he wants to try and debunk Amazon before jumping to conclusions that "once a Sonic game's announced, Dreamcast will be #2."

Here's some preliminary American figures for the week ending 29th Aug:

PS3 is up about 85% this week (~70k) - slims available but limited to only some retailers and in limited quantities - next week should be 90-100k in the Americas with the slim being fully available.

Xbox360 is up about 30% this week (~75k), should be up a little more next week with a full week of Elite price cut.

Arkham Asylum did about 550k combined (360 juuuuust on top but not conclusively given margin of error.

Dissidia did around 180k - PSP bundle did well.

7 - A copy/pasted user review of the xbox 360 from Amazon.com ENJOY

Bought this the day it came out and had nothing but problems with it. Microsoft replaced it 3 TIMES, so on the third time I got it back I went to gamestop and traded it in for a PS3. NEVER had a problem yet on the ps3. PS3 also has a one year warranty ;). I will never buy a crapbox again.

Another wise decision made, decided to Jump Out and PLAY B3YOND the flopbox
