Microsoft PR Confirms Gears of War 2 Exclusive to 360, New XBLA titles and More at GDC

With less than, a 2 hours before the official Microsoft press conference from GDC, an official press release from Italy has confirmed the presence of some big games and new games. The Press Release also confirms to the Gears of War 2 to be exclusive to Xbox 360.

Thats because some people on this site are just sad. I lost 3 bubbles because is said the PS3 couldn't output TrueHD or DTS HD as bitstream, or even DTS HD in any form, therefore a stand-alone is better. That didn't sit well with some people :-P. Gears of War 2 is big news and some people want to try and downplay it!

There is no denying how awesome Gears 1 was...the first game to really show off UE3...there were little quibbles here and there, but it was definitely an awesome game...

Gears 2 could be the same...but there better be some massive upgrades to UE3 for Gears 2...the same lighting 'tricks' won't work anymore...the insanely static environments...the bar is being raised on a quarterly basis now...if Gears 2 looks the same as Gears 1, or even UT3 visually...it won't have the impact to everyone like the first one did...

will be a cool end of the year if Gears 2 makes that window...for the first time though, a Gears of War game has some very serious competition...

Harry Potter has been expecting this for a year. He knows that Microcrap may be doing their poor console more harm than good, because he knows the developers may try to pack to much into a game that will run on a useless console. Harry Potter expects many more RRODs after the game is released. And even if what Harry Potter says does not happen, he knows that while the game may be good, it is no match for the amazing slew of Playstation 3 exclusives this year. He expects Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 to kick it in its tiny little balls and watch it die slowly.

Because NG2, Lost Odyssey, Too Human, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Banjo Kazooie, Left for Dead, Elveon, Huxley, Age of Conan,
Infinite undiscovery, Project Offset, Sacred 2, Tales of Vesperia, and several other games won't be coming out until then.... plus the 3rd party games which 99% of the time run better on Xbox 360, or have exclusive 360 content like GTA IV.

You can get a GeForce 8 card for less than $75 -- the RSX is *ONE GENERATION PREVIOUS*.
