E3 2009: Final Fantasy VII Releases on PlayStation Store today

Sony has just announced that Final Fantasy VII will be available on the PlayStation Store today.

Many have been waiting for the release of this classic PlayStation game.

I had FFVII on my PSP 2 1/2 years ago yet I will still be buying this. Why? I want sales numbers to indicate to Square that a remake would be a good decision. If my $6-10 helps then so be it. Plus, I lost my original EBOOTs that I made, anyway.

An update version of the game would be nice. It don't have to be a big one, but something like "Bionic Commander Rearmed" would be nice.

I really like FF7, but ain't goning to buy a digital version of the original unless they have improved it.
