The revolutionnary annoucement is a CO-OP PSP/PS3 Metal Gear Game

According to two french blogger of "GameKyo" named Ribery and Theclad, the website of Kojima can easy announce a New sort of CO-OP game, revolutionnary, with the New Metal Gear !
Because of three new letters on the Kojima Production Next Project.
There is one C, one O, and one P.

So there is CO-OP.

We can imagine that the first player use his PS3 to control Snake (Big Boss) and the second player use his PSP to control the new Ninja (Raiden/ Gray Fox)
Updates:
According to the same member called Theclad, in reality the Soldier Ninja will me more famous with the name "Sunny" very related with the Website "NEXT" from Kojima Productions, because the Sun erase Clouds ans rains.

But, voilà, i'm a fan since 1990 when I played to METAL GEAR on MSX...
When I saw the first image of METAL GEAR SOLID and the video of E3 of MGS2... I Was just devastated. Now... There is this BIG THING, and for me, it's more important than a FINAL FANTASY VII Remake !

I remarked on this from the first day stating that these are two different games. Related but different.

It isn't exactly Co-op as they theorize because Kojima already stated "We will do what we can on the PSP."

I've been saying that for a while, I still think it's 2 different game with some sort of PSP to PS3 feature. Ever since PO came out with MGS4 characters, I knew one day and hopefully it will happen, a PSP to PS3 feature will happen.

An MGS co-op game will destroy the series. The whole point of the game is tactical espionage aka stealth. I don't see how "stealthy" it could be to have some idiot running around next to you while you're trying to stay out of sight. Fvck COOP! It will destroy the uniqueness and beauty that are all MGS games to date. Maybe some side coop thing but please DO NOT focus a game on coop!!!

and NOTHING is greater than an FF7 release!!!

I think the theory is completely flawed. How do you figure Co-op from three letters? You nerds need to stop spending ALL your time speculating. We'll find out WHEN we find out. I love MGS more than the next but I'm not sitting around trying to figure out what this mystery could be. Get a fvcking life!

Splinter Cell had a co-op. It worked alright..
As long as you have a partner that is willing to play the game how it was meant to.
It will work out fine, and shouldn't cause any (or much) problems.
Splinter Cell worked out wonderfully.. When you had a good partner.

Best theory so far.Tho i really, really wish people would stop trying to figure out Kojima's plans and just wait till he announces his project(s).

not really, I'm guessing it would be a PSP game, maybe like PO, and a PS3 game, like MGS4, sold separately. One would have you play as Big Boss and the other as Raiden. However, if you happen to have all the gears and both games, you get to play it in co-op. That's what I understand, but I might be wrong. I'm guesssing it would be similar to FF:CC Echoes of Time on the Wii/DS, the game is fully playable on both platforms, but if you have both and 2 games, they can play the game together.

This is one of the best theory's I've heard so far ever since the new letters appeared on the teaser site, and it makes perfect since because I think that something in Famitsu hinted at PSP/PS3 in regards to one of Kojima's projects.

Since it seems like there's 2 different teasers, one for a New Metal Gear Solid and another for supposedly, Lord of Shadows, I think the new Metal Gear Solid will more than likely be a Playstation exclusive (PSP/PS3), while the other game is multiplat, because I just don't see the next Metal Gear Solid coming to the Xbox 360 whenever MGS4 hasn't even made the jump, and clearly MGS is for the PS audience anyways.

So now the rumor is it's Co-op because of the letters C,O,and P showing in the famiitsu scan.....Wait Ive got it the new kojima game involves a COP who is really a Cyborg Opressing Prick who hunts down Raiden...it's soo obvious. Now should I post this as news?

All they would have to do is share the netcode between the two games, the psps version will have psp gfx, the ps3 version will have ps3 gfx.
They dont even have to be the same games, as long as the netcode is shared between the two games.

Ι dont know , this sounds weird to me.Hardware doesnt limit only how good the textures , or how many polygons there are , but it also limits level design , and i dont want a gimped MGS game because of that.

And level design = gameplay also.

It's hilarious how people jump to conclusions based on three letters. They see P, O and C and they immediately know the platforms, characters, gameplay mechanics and control scheme. Okay, let me try: we can only see Raiden's one eye, so it's O and E. This means zOnE - Zone of the Enders. The background is black. Html code for black is #000000 - a lot of zeroes. Zone of the Enders Zero - a prequel. We still have P, C and O letters. This one's easy - P stands for Party Game, a set of mini-games with ZotE prequel meta-plot. C stands for Casual - because it's going to be aimed at the casual market. O is 20th letter in the English alphabet. Divide it by 5 (because everyone's expecting MGS5) and you'll get 4. This means 4-player game. There we go - a 4 player party game in Zone of the Enders universe, pre-first ZotE.
