will be surprised if this gets through...but at the same time...maybe not...

aside from what you mentioned...the entire article reads like a PR statement...a cover system that killzone 2 has already done, so good luck passing that as 'something no other shooter has attempted'...and every other RPG-Shooter mechanic was in pretty much any modern open world shooter...'pick your own missions and fight the way you want'...i'm pretty sure Far Cry 2 let me do that last year...

whatever...its HHG...to be expected...

@Kleptic:

Funny how every one was saying when Killzone 2 came out, "Who cares if it's been done some where else before?? The game is still fun!!" Just a thought. ^^

Also, YES, this does read like a PR statement.

Aside from the fact that the source of this article is what it is, this:

"Its innovative First Person Perspective cover system will allow you to bring the battle to your enemies in ways you’ve never dreamed of before."

Is probably the most asinine thing I've read today.

Hmmm, so does that mean I can do a somersault in the air and land on my opponent's shoulders legs-first and then snap his neck with my thighs...all using this AWESOME NEW COVER SYSTEM?

There's no limit to dreams or imagination when it comes to what gamers want to do. Though, the game does like kind of nice. :)

It's not about the fact of the game having a cover system, or how it might be with respect to this game, it's the ambiguity of the statement that makes it asinine.

The way it's written (especially with the context that Warhound "will revolutionize the FPS genre") makes it seem like Warhound invented the thing--in addition to the Far Cry-esque elements described.

But my beef isn't with the game, it's with the site itself.

To all the readers, I thank you in advance for reading this article. I would like to present to you all the Bits Of Information (BOI) that I was not able to include in this article. They are as follow:

BOI 1) Techland: is a Polish video game developer that was founded in 1991.

BOI 2) Techland: is the developer of Call of Juarez, the Western-themed first-person shooter that was published by Ubisoft. It was first released on PC in 2006, and was later released on the Xbox 360 in June of 2007. The North American release of the PC version is one of the first games to utilize Microsoft’s DirectX10.

Here’s the response I got by emailing Techland regarding Warhound’s current development progress: “Hello
We had to pause development when we started to make Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

We will back to Warhound after CoJ:BiB is released.

Best regards
