Riccitiello confirms KOTOR MMO from BioWare

EA boss John Riccitiello confirmed at E3 today that BioWare's working on a new Knights of the old Republic game with an MMO "component" to it.

2 - Finaly another KotOR!!

Anything the Game Gods of Bioware make is always phenomenal, and the first KotOR was one of my favorite RPGs of all time.

I truly hope, though, that there's also some single player "component" as well. Lots of people like MMOs, but I prefer single player rpgs. Although being Bioware, I'm sure whatever the make it will be awesome.

Given that the first two kotor games were xbox. MS could try using the force to get EA to make it only for the 360 but then again EA is so $$ greedy they would do better to release it on both PS3 and 360.

This will be up to LucasArts to decide what platform(s) it goes to. Star Wars is their baby.

But if it is a 360 exclusive single-player RPG then they will sell at least on 360 to me on the day of its release. The first KOTOR is the reason I bought an Xbox.

Funny thing is, I "knew" for quite some time now.
If you know ScrewAttack, they have a feature called SideScrollers, it's a podcast more or less. They talked about it being confirmed to be a MMO a while ago. Dunno how reliable they are as a source, though.

I can't think of a game all week that has made me more excited. Kotor 3 (story) plus MMO functionality equals game of the year as far as I'm concerned. Here is hoping that the game is released multiplatform on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3:-)

17 - AHHHHH $h!t.....

This is my game. I love this series. I'm a big Star Wars fan and this really the best of any Star Wars series, and Star Wars has some good series. The first one was Classic, the second one was just great but its hard living up to how good the first one was but the 2nd one was really Phenomonal too. I dont know if the Ps3 ppl are ready for a game like this (if its like the KOTOR 1&2). They seem to only be interested in older regular style control schemes the way the series plays might over shoot them. The Force Unleashed might be more their speed.

Hey man!....I'm just saying they havent been buying alot of RPGs over there, and this is a RPG.

For all we know it's only on PC, or it could be Xbox pc only.

This is only a confirmation of the game in development, it hasn't been official announced and it hasn't had it's platforms listed.

I was playing Socom and LOVING it! At that same time you had 3 games on the xbox worth a sh!t...HALO KOTOR and GRAW and they where chargin to play them online when at the time i was having the most fun i had ever had online with Socom....

You ppl are complete mindless fukn drones...you jump to the same conclusions without even a thought going into that brain!

The 1st xbox didnt have the games and by the time i was ready for a upgrade on my gaming the PS3 was 4 months away and the 360 still only had GRAW! So i started saving my pennys with the hope of playing my favorite game Socom on the PS3!

I really liked the 1st KOTOR even if i didnt get the full game. Just bits and pieces over time..

Star Wars in general has mainly been an Xbox franchise, not soley but mainly especially w/KOTOR.

However I wouldn't mind if it was out on all platforms even Wii but still it would be better as an Xbox 360/PC exclusive.

LucasArts is going to decide what platforms any and all Star Wars games will be on.

That means it will most likely be a 100% multi-platform game.

The only reason the 1st 2 KOTOR games were not on the PS2 is because it did not have Hard Drive.
