I forgot not to comment about halo in any article with 360 in the title, guys c'mon, I love playing Halo, it's still my #1 game to play on line, but to say it's not generic and cleached is just blind fanboyism, and the masterchief is generic, no doubt, I'm just saying that the Halo Franchise is going off in diffrent directions because M$ loves its money, plus miganda, to accuse me of being a nintendo fanboy is stupid, I treat all games equally, I just favour Nintendo because in the last 18 years Nintendo has never let me down, and M$ is 3rd on my list behind Sony because they abandoned the PC, I mean yeah they make the operating system and software, but name one PC exclusive M$ has made for the PC in the last 3 years. well, how do you know nintendo's never let me down, I've already said that I'm not a Nintendo fanboy I just trust them more than other companies because since I played my first video game on the nes I have never been let down by nintendo, who cares about the cartridge, or mini disc, some of the best games ever were on the n64, hmm let me think, goldeneye, super mario 64, banjo kazooie, LOZ:OoT to name a few, and the gamecube, I enjoyed such games as Pikmin Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing, sure Nintendo has milked their franchises but did you ever think why? no. Nintendo only makes money from, selling consoles, controllers, games and accessorys, thats it. Sony make money by selling TV's, MP3 players, Stereos, Phones, M$ makes money by selling windows, nuff said, Nintendo relys on its games and consoles to survive so they need to make money. And how do you justify milking a series, there has been one 3d mario platformer for each console since the 64, one mario kart on each since snes, the only reason there is so many is because Nintendo has been around long before Sony and M$ even thought of the console market, and miganda I see u can't reply to this cause nobody wants to hear you talk because you are a fanboy. Of course M$ is smart to continue the Halo series, but does that mean its right? I'd rather be playing new IPs like Mirrors Edge, Little Big Planet and Alan Wake than playing the same recycled thing over and over. Oh and Sony isn't doing anything with the FF series, thats square enix, and they've been cashing in on remakes since the snes and I don't really care for JRPGs. Oh and miganda, I will never buy wii fit, I hate the wii, it has good games but I hate everything it stands for, but I still own it along with my 360/PS3/DS/PSP/ and to top it all off a top o the line gaming PC, whatever, the arguement against Halo will never be won.

I'm from Australia and this site is officially endorsed as a "Friend of Microsoft" at Xbox.com (see here: http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/c...

I often post their articles because they have a uniquely Australian perspective on the industry and are a very vocal group of the 360 community in Australasia. So what if they use Wordpress, it may be a blog but so's 90% of the other gaming press out there! (Kotaku, MTV, Level Up, etc.).

Anyways enjoyable read as always, whether I agree with Mass Effect 2 being exclusive or not! lol

Obviously you don't look at 80% 0f the gaming sites out there, including all the majors. All started out as blogs, many still runs as blogs such as Joysiq, Xbox360fanboy, PS3fanboy, Destructoid etc etc etc. Many started life as humble beginnings and have worked their way up from that.

Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org provide upwards or 60% of all blogging and website software for everyone from Aunt Betty's cooking through to major corporations, gaming and news site including the major News sites that their reporters use. Plus I don't see you sitting up for 48 hours getting articles ready and sourcing news items 24/7 . . . If you were, you'd have your own website, and you'd most likely use either Wordpress, Typepad or Blogger, all of which run the majority of owner-run sites on the net.

Stop being bigoted and just be thankful some people are willing to go the extra mile sop YOU can read something about gaming. Either that, or start your own site and show us how it's done.

Harry, the policy is for basic, personal blog diaries that do not supply any news, not sites run with blogging software, if that was the case, y99u'd not be reading any articles from Joystiq-radio, Joystiq, Destrcutoid, xboxfanboy, ps3fanboy,wiifanboy, even NextGen,EDGE NextGenration.biz, xbox360world reporters, Official-Xbox-Mag and Official-Playstation-Mag reporters etc are ALL BLOGS mate.

And btw, I've been submitting via our blog and xbox.com since N4g started with such things a Xbox360 Games listings and the like which was pinned in the n4g xbox forums for almost a year. ALL through the use of blogging software: Anyway, I hope the following helps SOME understand the difference of blogs and how so many supply you with your news every day.

Wordpress is simply SOFTWARE. Do you actually know how a website works . . ?

ALL blog based sites and many non blog based websites run on software, This software is supplied by many means, some from TypePad, Blogger, and in this case Wordpress.

All the sites you see dishing out news across the glob are run with these types of software, the company, such as Wordpress or Typepad have nothing to do with the site per-say.

They force NO ADVERTIZING on any user unlike many other where you have to have banners and placement ads in order to use their software for free. Wordpress supply the software for almost half of Xbox.coms off site news support sites, they supply the software for a huge proportion on major company site, and have in excess of 100million users PER DAY.

Woerdpress is simply a TOOL not a website. This IS OUR website, and we own it outright, we simply use wordpress.com software to run it, like 100 million other users across the glob.

Do a little bit or research and you'll find the type and number of people using just wordpress ( http://wordpress.org and http://wordpress.com

The difference being is that the .org supply you the software for free to use on YOUR private servers, and .com supplies ITS OWN servers free of charge while you use their software. They make thei money through traffic not by ads.

In order for us to have wordpress dropped from our url, we need to $$$ decent money for high traffic servers and host facilities. Something we simply do not have lining our pockets at the moment. We have JUST secured a sponsor who will be helping us in that area,and we will then be able to drop the wordpress off our url, but nothing else will change, and YOU will still be reading and viewing a wordpress software run site, but you wont know it. Perhaps making you feel a bit silly when complaining about it.

You do realize that over 75% of game related sites run using free blogging software of some sort, and are ALL blogs of one version or another. There is nothing wrong with BLOGS per-say. They used to be just personal online diaries, that role has changed and is changing faster than I can type. Companies, schools, businesses large and small, new reporters that work for the NYT, Mercury Times, Reuters, to name but just a few all use blogs to deliver their daily news for their profession through their employees.

That makes them no different to any other worthy news site out there, including us. You do realize I hope that Joystiq-Radio is ALSO a blog . . !!! and I don;t see you writing harsh stuff about them in their comments, or in anything that comes from Xbox360fanboy or its sister site ps3fanboy, or many other sites on N4G.

We (our site) have this problem all the time, but ONLY from within N4g, as it seems 80% of users on n4g seem to think that a BLOG is the devils work and should be run out of town on a horse . . wake up, read, do some research and you'll find many site YOU love and read each and every day and swear by are in fact - dare I say - BLOGS.

I think he means nothing on that list justifies him owning a 360 as in he has a 360, but doesn't see it as a fit purchase as the games he sees do not interest them, as for the fanboy debate, who cares, theres probably bound to be one exclusive on a console you want, just because you don't own a 360 or Wii doesn't make you a sony fanboy as long as the person who's playing the games gets every game he wants to play there should be no problem.

the reason why ng2 flopped so hard is beacuase it looked really bad next to NGS on PS3 1080p@60fps.

There is a *reason* why I slammed on the 360. I cannot stand unreliable consoles first of all, because I grew up with every single console in the house working. I only don't like the 360 because of the reliability issues and the online service you have to pay for when you have other priorities as well. That's two of the main things I can't stand about the 360. Another thing is Gears of War and Halo. They're not my type of games and I can't see myself getting into them. But I would gladly pay for games like Ninja Gaiden 2, Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery.

If your head is so far up your damn ass that you can't see that I don't hate the 360 entirely, then that's your damn problem. You come on the PS3 sections attacking every single damn thing about the system. Even if it's good news, you attack it. If the 360 had some good news, I would have said that's a good job. But I don't like Microsoft as a company at all. However I won't allow it to get in the way of playing games.

I support Sony but I don't hate on everything 360 related. I only cannot stand Microsoft because they f*cked up with an unreliable console. I actually want them to improve their console so I can actually buy it for the games that I want. I sold the damn game. I haven't played that since I got it. It's not the GTA I remembered. I know it's not a bad game but I just couldn't get into it. The driving annoyed me, and so did some of the missions.
