Even if this rumour is false, i still firmly believe they will remake this game for ps3. But like they have said again and again, they need to finish Final Fantasy XIII first. That's all.

I tell you something though, im a big fan of FFVII, as big as they get. But im gonna have to learn Japanese or something because i absolutely hate the english voice acting. You know when you imagine something, and then when you hear/see it, it completely kills the expectations you had? The english voice acting somehow to me sounds NOTHING like the characters should, yet for some crazy reason, the Japanese voice acting sounds EXACTLY how the characters should, even though i don't understand what they're saying. Also, please keep the battle system from the original FFVII, cos the new style sucks. I trust they'll make it great, but i hope they will keep it 'Final Fantasy VII' enough.

In an interview with Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Tetsuya Nomura offers some interesting details about Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, Blu-ray version of the film out there is already a certain time. We thought so far only a few bits of footage had been added, but little information and a complete absence of release date proved to be quite strange. In fact, according to Nomura, these are passages of the whole scenario that have been added and others who have been modified. In the end, the film should win in length and density. The Japanese release date has been decided, but it will have to wait (probably to the event DK Σ3713 in early August) so that it is unveiled. Nomura also notes that a big announcement that should accompany the release date, without giving more details ... Such vagueness should encourage the wildest rumours.

Tetsuya Nomura is also rapidly on the development of Final Fantasy XIII Versus, a topic that had already provoked a general cafouillage a few weeks ago. The director of Thursday confides that the team is currently working above is very reduced, for the simple reason that the team kinematics is dedicated primarily to Advent Children Complete and programmers lend a hand to those of FFXIII. ..it will sell more PS3's then MGS 4 could. Think about it, the fanbase for FF is larger then MGS, and if FF VII was announced for the PS3 then the PS3's will be selling faster then the Wii could ever sell.

And it's not , I hope no one minds a newcomer to the board chiming in. I usually try to stick to the shadows since I don't know anyone but skippy here.

On this I've debated and finally decided to get brave. I've been playing FF games since the SNES version and III(I'm pretty sure it has a different set of numbers for the remake though) and no matter how many I play FF VII will always be my favorite.

After playing Crisis Core and seeing the end of it, I kept thinking of how cool a remake would be with the enhanced graphics and all even if I would need to borrow my nephew's PS3 since I highly doubt such a thing would be compatible for the PSP. I've read many of the arguments on how voice-overs could change the game and such and that's true in many ways. Though I'm sure if Square decided to undertake such a job sometime in the way distant future (hopefully before I'm too old to play it) they could figure a way around it.

hey guy, I'm convinced it's only a matter of time until the remake project is undertaken. It seems like Final Fantasy 7 has become a franchise in and of itself, and there's no way something that generates that much attention wouldn't culminate in a full blown re-release. Plus, Square loves remaking games. I find it very hard to believe the people at Square didn't realize the backlash they would induce when they released that FF7 tech demo for the PS3. It wouldn't surprise me if they started working on the game shortly before the tech demo was released. Yes, they keep saying they're busy with the XIII series but I don't know how much of that I believe.

I remember Blizzard vehemently denying the existence of Starcraft 2 when in fact, development began shortly after The Frozen Throne expansion to WC3 came out. All while working on WoW, you know !
