Bungie better work things out with Microsoft coz all advertising and publishing of their games are done by Microsoft. The only reason why Halo 3 sold 8 million plus was because Microsoft spent a lot of money advertising the game. Bungie is half dead without Microsoft and so is Microsoft btw.

It is more what the guy said about them getting disillusioned with Microsoft and that they've begun looking at different avenues of which the PS3 is one... Wii, PC and others could be options too.

Microsoft spend tons of money on everything, but cannot buy Bungie? Doesn't make sense to me. Dang, they probably spent more on Halo advertising alone than what it would have cost to buy them. For sure, I would not expect any PS3 love, because if they start anything interesting, I'm sure they will finally take their wallet out!

Bungie is cool, but I think Halo is "old". Gears of War took Halo's place if you ask me. I don't think Microsoft cares anymore about Halo and quite frankly neither do a lot of people. BTW, I think you can stick Bungie game in your PS3. That old ass game called Oni.

MS has a percentage ownage of Bungie.
MS has a contract to publish first any Bungie game.
MS has a exclusive contract with Bungie for an undisclosed period.

With MS owning Halo exclusivity, any such move to embrace other machines would be new IP.

I for one, would grateful. I thought Halo 3 was a bit 'tired' and I'd like to see these undoubtedly talented developers spread their wings a bit and bring us something new.
I still can't believe MS's first party policy. Lionhead is a winner, but the only other team left is Rare, and they really aren't setting the world alight with their releases (though I enjoy them!) Having made such inroads into winning over the hardcore gamer, it seems they have completely focused on 'family titles' at the expense of hardcore first party development. It would make sense to keep extremely good relations with all studios producing exclusive hardcore content, and I hope we see some signs of them doing that.

Was Halo 1 and 2 not ported over to the PC? Halo won't come to the PS3, no doubt about that. But you're seeming to forget that Bungie are now capable of visioning new projects not tied to the 360. So don't be surprised if you see a Bungie title on the PS3 in the next couple of years.

final I have no clues what your point is about them being on the pc. They can make game of the ps3 sure but why would they want to. They are completely depandant on MS. MS foots the bill for everything they do plus plus a bungie game on the ps3 wont sell like crap cause of fanboys. I wonder how Bungie feels about Microsoft taking their ideas and whoring it out to a bunch of other developers to make up for a lack of quality titles on their platform? If I was Bungie I would definitely not allow Microsoft to get their greedy hands on any of my future games. Sure I'd release on their platform, but they wouldn't own it. You also have to think that Bungie want to get away from Halo. There has been nearly zero innovation since the first game and they are just stuck in their tracks.

you have to look at the demographic for where the wii sold the most: kids and soccer moms, who love it(because both the 360 and ps3 are on the most part available to an adult audience) So obviously the wii caters to a different audience, and yet for some reason people in the older category still pick it up. Now look at where the halo sold the most 18-35 year olds, who love it as well. Obviously it's not available to other categories, but it is good for the category it targets. You can't ignore the fact that it is the most played game on xbl surpassing cod4 which is also available to the ps3.

i will say that bungie probably split from microsoft in order to make all their future games their own, but you have to credit ms for their ridiculous advertising campaign, which has blown any other game's out of the water.

Dark Sniper would be more than welcome to introduce the Halo series to PLAYSTATION®3. It's refreshing to know that Bungie now finds PS3 to be the viable platform to fully recognize their developing potential. Since being developed on XBox 360, Halo 3 has been nothing more than a mediocre shooter with overachieving sales.

With Bungie making the jump to PLAYSTATION®3, the Halo series will get the shot in the arm that it sorely needs to become an AAA shooter to compete with the likes of Killzone 2 and Resistance 2. When it comes to developing titles to the fullest potential, only PLAYSTATION®3 provides those capabilities.

It's painstakingly obvious that Microsoft has done nothing more than swindle Bungie and have shown many cases of mistreatment. This mistreatment is unwarranted which is why several 1st party developers have left Microsoft's ship. Dark Sniper personally sees this as another cunning blow that will result in Xbox 360's demise.

RARE to start developing for Nintendo again. I could care less for Bungie and their one horse pony show. Besides, Halo is not even as good as I thought fans made it out to be. IN fact, Halo is really boring.

Halo is property of Microsoft Game Studio. Halo on PS3 is simply impossible.

Perhaps Halo belongs to Microsoft but not every project Bungie does belongs to Microsoft so that means Bungie is now gonna make games for PS3.
Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they make an exclusive game for the PS3.
Look at Tecmo they were exclusive 1st party devs to the Xbox/Xbox360 and guess what they're making games for PS3 as well as a few exclusives.
ex.) Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Quantum Theory, etc.
I don't mind losing some 3rd party exclusives on the PS3 because in the end Sony is stealing all of their 1st party devs one by one.
Funny thing Sony didn't even pay them to come to the PS3 they chose to come to Sony on their own and that's just sad on Microsoft's side.
