Great news!

So gald they are continuing on with the franchise, the 1st was great on all aspects (apart from how short it was)

Lets just hope it hits in 2009 a long with God Of War III

Voice acting, cut scenes, combat... And the story was one for the video game ages. I think they will make to make the next one a bit longer, as that was pretty much the only complaint one could throw at this game.

3.2 - I'm gonna have to agree with Kevin
COD4 gets away with it because of the multiplayer. HS needs to be longer. It was my only complaint. Otherwise, it was one of the best cinimatic experiences I had in a videogame. I ejoyed both play-throughs. The story line was compelling and the gameplay was fun. I was definately hooked after playing. I think that in part is why it's length was so disapointing. I really didn't want the game to end when it did.

I really hope they don't release this when GOW3 comes out. I'm going to get both but, I don't see that helping the game as far as sales are concerned. It wouldn't be easy on the pocket book either.

nariko is so... sexy and kai is... disabled. I hope they make it longer and somwehow make nariko the character. Nariko's revenge. It would suck without her. If its a guy, it will be a god of war clone. and if its kai, well... twing twangapalooza. Bring nariko back or dont bring the game back at all! (Stupid sacrifice endings)

the title of the game is heavenly sword. Do you honestly think you won't be using that weapon? It's not going to be twin-twang the whole time.

Full camera control would have been great. A jump button would have been cool too. Although it was really never needed.

Come now even though nariko was hot she didn't have a personality like with alot of hot chicks. If they bring back kai and she matured atleast 10 years she prolly wouldn't be as crazy or immature while still keeping a unique likable feel to her. Even if its not kai if they brought out a chick who had bigger breasteses and related to nariko would you still not accept the game?

15 - I got this from the last H2 article but here is what I want to see changed
1.I rather the game takes place from 100yrs to 500yrs but depending on who is the main character if its Kai just 10 years the third game could have a decedent of Nariko in modern times or the far future.

2.I rather the main character stays female for the whole trilogy, who ever they pick i think throwing in some hand to hand combat can be a good change of pace from time to time ^_^

3.If the game only takes place in 10 years then yes kai as a woman would be cool as long as she keeps a like able feminine personality. That was my only problem with nariko is that she has a masculine boring personality.

4. should retrieve the sword and learn different styles as you progress through the game

5. the controls needs to be tighten a little and I want to jump 0.0 Oh and it would be cool if you removed the gow style "press this button 2 do stuff" Instead during those scenario you have fixed button actions like square is block while triangle is attack x is jump 0 is special so you can have the same gow scene but without the button appearing on the screen

6. free and unlockable content maybe in the game extra maps or episodes should be downloadable.

7.keep destructible environments

8.a Strict story line is fine but trying a sand box type game play for a hack and slash would be unique.

I agree. It would be cool if the story took place 100 to 500 years later . The 1st game would add to the legend of the heavenly sword. The main character should remain a girl. If its Kai (if its only 10 years later) she needs a drastic personality change because she was ok only as a side character not a main one. They should make Kai more mature and become a new and improved Nariko in a weird sort of Nariko's spirit now lives through Kai deal without it being too corny.

Please do something about the hideous load times in HS2. Also, make all the cut-scenes skipable. I know there is loading happening in the background of some but if you die and have to replay a section usually you have to sit thru a small but annoying cut-scene and playing the game on Hell mode it get's annoying quick.

20 - I can't wait to play this game
I haven't bought Heavenly sword yet (I want to pay $60 for a 10 hour game) however I have played the demo and I LOVED it. I will eventually buy the game. My input is that I wish they would add some sort of RPG elements. Not necessarily stat building, but like obtaining new abilities as you gain superstyle points or some sort of experience bar. It would be cool to unlock new abilities for each weapon, including the downloadables, and to unlock new martial arts attacks as well.

The first game was a cinematic masterpiece! I felt so sorry for Roach =(

Bring back Andy Serkis (amazing acting in the game)
Bring back same composer (music was beautiful)

The first game had potential to be AMAZING OMG! but ended up being just great. Make this the game the first one could have been.
Allthough I think the end of Heavenly Sword has got to be one of my most memorable gaming moments. The final boss was one of the most amazing bosses evar IMO.

I hate how the first game didn't get the recognition it deserved. I'm really happy that they decided to add more destructible environments.It the one thing I always hated in hack n slash games is that there is hardly any collision and destructible surfaces. The first game had for the first time in a fighting game, advanced rag doll physics which never gets brought up enough IMO, and it made the game feel next gen.

15 hours is all I need for this game. The first was good, but could have been great if it was a little longer, more replay value would have been nice also. A funny costume would have had me play the game a third time.(with a harder difficulty of course, Nariko must die comes to mind)

OH, and to all the peeps saying get rid of kai, choke on a fat one. Her sections kept me on my toes compared to Nariko.

Why is the length of this game always brought up??? Is it because that was the only negative thing that could actually be held against this title?

I mean Titles like Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid, and the such clock in around 2.5 hrs and maybe 5 hours respectively and they have never went under the chopping block like heavenly sword has.
