Sega Could Go Bankrupt

According to businesweek.com Sega could have a winn or loose situation this winter . Even though the company plans to enter among the top 5 publishers , with their newly purchased Marvel licenses , this shot could very easily backfire . If this winter season goes wrong , and its followed by a bad next Q1 , our beloved hedgehog maker could go out of business .
Lets hope for the best for Sega , and continue to aid them , as we can ( read : buy their games ) .

I just bought Sonic 1,2 and 3 on ebay...Why? Because imo they were the best Sonic games, I got the Sonic and Knuckles cartridge somewhere at home lol.

If Sega didnt constantly release games that were poor like the latest Sonic game then they wouldnt have this problem.

I want Sega to come back and the only way they can do this is be serious in their developement like going back and looking at the top classics they once had like the classic Sonic, Streets Of Rage and Goldenaxe for example.

Hey, here's an idea -- turn out some quality titles and you'll be OK. When you have a bunch of development teams all turning out rubbish, it's kind of obvious where that business strategy is headed.

I still play my Sega Saturn (YES THATS NOT A MISS TYPE) to this very day. Quarter Back Attack still makes me laugh. Ahh..those were the good ol' days.

Sega was awesome back when Sonic was popular and again when their Model 2 arcade hardware became a basis for classics like Virtua Fighter 2 and Sega Rally.

It was sad to seem them exit the home console arena so I hope they can continue to profit through software. They've definitely had a huge impact on the gaming industry.

I remember buying a new one for £50 once with a worms game...I doubt you can get a new one for that price...Should have kept it! Only problem was the controller.

And what kind of a headline is that? Any company could go bankrupt and still survive. Just look at the Big Boy restaurant franchise or some of the airlines that filed chapter 11.

Have you all forgotten that most of Sega's greatest titles were their sports titles? And because of the success of there NBA, MLB and NFL 2K series, they created another name for them, hence 2K Sports. Even if Sega (Service Games) cans the Sega name, they will live on in 2K for years to come.
