Rumor: Forza Motorsport 4 in Development?

In news that probably won't shock most people, rumor has it that Microsoft and Turn 10 have already begun development on the next installment in the Forza Motorsport franchise.

... I've been playing Forza since the first one on the Xbox.

I really don't care about hundreds of different cars. I rather have more cool tracks to race on. And personally, I would prefer greatly designed original tracks which are great fun to race on, instead of tracks based on real-life (boring) tracks. Obviously, a nice balance between the two is the most preferred option.

I think its fake if you read the article. It says that "people shouldn’t be surprised to hear some sort of “official” announcement in the next “several weeks”. Yeah that to me confirmed it was fake why would they announce Forza 4 in a few weeks when Forza 3 just barely was released. Maybe its some sort of DLC and this guy mixed it up or maybe it's just fake.

I don't doubt that Turn 10 is already at the beginning stages of their next installment of Forza but my guess would be they are working even harder on their version of PGR5.

MS gave it to them to develope. They own the name to the series and Bizzare Creations has since gone multiplat after a rumored parting of the ways with them and MS after PGR4.

I am definitely interested (huge racing fan) in what Turn 10 will do with the series (PGR) but it's hard to get excited for me personally since Forza and PGR couldn't be more different from one another.

You never know though. They might knock it out of the park and have another hit on their hands.

I never understood the yearly or bi-annual sports games with minor upgrades and why people are suckers for buying them.

Me i only buy 2 iteration of a sports game a gen. Either 1 in the beginning and one in the middle or 1 in the middle and 1 near the end. Its the same case with Fight night, FIFA, Maddens etc for me. Same with GT last gen and the previous gen. No need to buy 3 or more GT's or any other sports games because they really are all the same with added tweaks. Hey that just me.

Why would anyone feel the need to buy a racing game every 1 to 2 year? There is not much you can add to a racing game! I'd rather buy once "great" racing game every 4 to 5 years than one "good" racing game every year, especially if that great racing game has more content than 2 of the "good" racing games. That being said Gt5 is taking a bit on the long side, but it should be worth the wait for sim racing fans.

And why is anyone here comparing this to Uncharted 2? UC2 is a story driven game and you get attached to the characters and want to see what other adventures they go on next. A racing game is just that, a racing game. Nothing new except minor improvements in graphics, some new cars and the same old racing.

with lack diffrence between forza 2 and forza 3 I really think they should spend alot of time developing this no trying to push out as fast as possible to compete with gt5 it just get stamped all over. or think leaving to the xbox. Same poor car models and interiors
No night or all-weather racing

But dont worry, Splinter Cell and Alan Wake will rock, and you should be able to experience the kind of quality that comes when developers are determined to make a great game and not just churn out the same rubbish every 2 years. Just a pity that whats taken for granted for all PS3 exclusives is the exception to the rule for the 360 exclusives

they were starving.yet,they bought more of the "DEMO" than forza 2 or 3 release.must have done something right to sell a demo with 70 cars and outdo 2 full priced games.

first,if forza4 wants to be definitive,they need to put those polygons in the cars you are racing.not in the car selection screen and before the race.and...not lie and mislead the public that you achieved 4x the polygons for each car on screen.

next,if 360 is more powerful and easy to make games on,they need to try and match GT5's lighting,16 cars at 1080p with the same or more polygons that GT5 is pumping out in each car.see,when polyphony says they put more polys in,it's cars that are being "driven."not car selection screens.

even then,forza3 was not that different than 2.just a cheating way of rewinding your failures.real racers wouldn't cop out and cheat like that.and if you put a lemans race in the game,how about making it 24 hour.not 24 hour DAYTIME.

you PS3 fanboys seem to be the only ones that criticise developers - and generally only 360-only ones.....funny that - for releasing a game every 2-3 years, yet you choose to ignore the fact that sony are notorious for 'milking' franchises for all theyre worth. Halo, the franchise that you all say is milked the most, has only had 4 games + 1 expansion in just over 8 years. Ratchet and Clank has had 9 games in just over 7 years.
