"The online update comes in at 135MB in size"

That must be the biggest patch ever.

alphakennybody5195d ago (Edited 5195d ago )

At least we know one company that would dedicate their own time and resource to give their consumers the best possible product AND even if its not their game.

gaffyh5195d ago

135MB isn't THAT big, the MAG beta update was over 2GB.

peeps5195d ago

yeh 135mb isn't all that big... lol

theres been much much larger patches tbh

masterg5195d ago

I remember a Motorstorm 2 update over 600MB.

Redempteur5195d ago

well kof12 patch was over 700mb and that was an ineffective quick fix

Baka-akaB5195d ago

You really need to play more games ...

ActionBastard5195d ago

You really don't game much, do you?

Bodyboarder_VGamer5195d ago

the Street Fighter II remake had a patch of 300MB that even to these days I don't know what it does because the game was fine and I don't see new stages, characters or anything.

deafwing5195d ago

... but definetly a 135 mega bits of problems to work on. :p

ryuzu5195d ago

Lolz - 135Mb.... n00b

I've download drivers for my PC bigger than that.

Still, to a 360 player with no harddrive, even a 1kb patch looks huge.

I don't like the patching concept for consoles, but that genie is out of the bottle. However, when you get cool patches like this - it's all good.

I wonder if MS will do the same with say Dragon Age? I suspect Bioware wouldn't want MS to touch their code lol.

garos825195d ago

still using 56k dial up modem? you sure are a crappy troll

Sarcasm5195d ago

lol 135mb patch big?

More proof Meerkat doesn't own a PS3.

SaiyanFury5195d ago

@ Eddy Raja 2.1

Exactly, and they developed the patch at no expense to the game buying public. Good job, Sony. Another reason I'm proud to be a PS gamer. 14 years at the end of January! :D

A Cupcake for Gabe5195d ago

Just got Brutal Legend in the mail from Gamefly..

So far really badass BTW, but anywho...

I popped the game in and it updated to version 1.02 at 256mbs
I don't know what for really but it did.

sony's guys are serious people.
this is the reason why sega has failed and sony is still a leader of gaming industry.

Another game, another patch. Play B3hind.

-Alpha5195d ago

I can't believe that they gave a sh*t.

Sega screwed up so bad.

Anyways I hope this doesn't ruin anything else for future games.

Raf1k15195d ago

If it really was Sony who offered to help then I hope more devs don't try and take advantage of that. We don't want devs getting lazy and expecting Sony to fix their problems.

deafwing5195d ago

... it's time to look for a new partner guys. If they are going to treat your games like Kaka, then you might as well start working with the Sanitation Companies in Japan.

RealityCheck5195d ago

That's great news for some of us, I had not started it yet due to having too many games to play. Now when I do it will be better than the initial version.

deafwing5195d ago

... sadly I trucked through it ... annoyed with the loading. Sadly, I got accustomed to it in the end. it would be nice to go back and play it on the higher difficulties after the patch though. If I can beat it like that before GOW III, I would be satisfied.
