The most disappointing and infamous video game endings even sour the overall thoughts of a game. Most of these titles represent some of the finest entries in their respective series, marred by an ending we can't quite forgive.
There is no game called Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, but Rebirth had a great ending imo. Felt robbed by the ending at first, but the more I've seen it and during my 3rd playthrough, I started to understand and realize a lot more that make me appreciate the ending.
I was enjoying FFVII Remake, even though those whispers throughout the game were annoying. But the ending was so bad that I don't even want to play Rebirth. On top of that, from what I saw on reviews, the ending of Rebirth is even worse.
Also, I'm glad to see Zero Time Dilemma being recognized as the trainwreck it is. After the amazing two first games (especially the near perfect second one), the low quality of the trilogy end is baffling. The new characters are bad, the old characters don't feel like themselves, a surprise "alien technology" pops out of nowhere, the big twist was like "eh?", and it doesn't really finish the story nor explains the loose threads from the second game.
A Crysis VR mod is now available for download, allowing users to experience the first entry in the series in VR
No one cares. The whole can it run Crysis is old, dead and stupid. It's also irrelevant, considering only less than one percent of pc owners, own a high-end PC. Second, I believe Crysis wasn't even optimized properly.
Let's hope the modders can get the other Crysis games working in VR as they use the same Cryengine.
GF365: "There are some games with extraordinary visuals that impress us to this day. Here are old games with outstanding graphics."
I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.
Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.
It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good
i love those comparisons. keep em comin!!
Why are people comparing game engines with screenshots again?
Both engines are impressive!!
More pointless comparisons? Surprise, surprise. It's obvious that some engines are going to look better than others, especially if they're new. Source is years old. But hey, to each his own, I guess.
Source has better enviroments, Crytec has better looking charector models, Unreal is in the middle?. None which matters as all of them have different art design in the first place.
Can't really tell what is being proven here as you can't tell what strenths are trying to be made known on any engine. Maybe Devs need to create the same enviroments and conditions and show off that way; not some guy with too much time on his hands.
