
As much as any other medium, no established games studio with a number of titles under its belt can claim that every one of its projects hit the mark, bringing pure gaming joy into the lives of those who played it. Whether it missed by a whisker or a mile, the blame for a game that performs under par cannot be pinned purely on any lack of creativity and intelligence of the team involved. This factors for only part of the final product, and too often in the last decade TPCG have experienced what can happen when funding is pulled or pressure is piled on the developer to hit a deadline. But there are a handful of studios that seem to perform despite the odds that occasionally stack against all who have been in the industry a while. They have a back catalogue that reads like a shopping list of classics and, more often than not, they have a gift for a specific genre.
