Fatal Inertia EX: Level Design

Michael Bond of Koei Canada blogs:
"Hello, once again. Today, our Lead Level Designer, Michael Brown will be discussing the design process for the environments in Fatal Inertia EX. Mike is a very talented designer and has been with the FI project since the very beginning. We couldn't have completed the 7 environments of Fatal Inertia without his years of experience supporting us. Kudos.

Hi I'm Michael Brown, lead level designer on Fatal Inertia.

I was excited to work on Fatal Inertia as soon as I heard that Koei Canada was making a physics based racing game. With consoles truly reaching supercomputer levels of processing power, realistic physics simulations are finally in reach. With Fatal Inertia we wanted to take advantage of this power and heavily base the game play mechanics and flight dynamics on realistic physics. This was indeed going to be a fun and difficult level design challenge."
