Konami Already Hinting at Metal Gear Solid 5?

Tuesday's Metal Gear Solid 4 press event in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills concluded with an audio clip of a phone conversation between franchise foe Revolver Ocelot and an unknown character, with only Ocelot's side of the conversation presented in the clip (with subtitles shown on the screen). Mark MacDonald, 1UP's man at the event, translated the subtitles to English. Some extracts of it here :

"We're entering into the last phase of the mission.
Do you want to execute the launch day surprise?
Yes, that's right "

"Live, simultaneously throughout the world...
Yes, it's under control."

"By the way, what should we do about "The Project?"
Yes, that's correct.
That man has fallen.
It's about the sequel.
Yes, indeed."

Also Kojima has already announced this will be his last Metal Gear game so I thought. Without him I am not sure where the series would go or if I'll like it when it get's there.

Kojima has repeatedly said that he wouldn't be in charge of another one, and that Snake will be gone after MGS4; so it's been long speculated that Konami will continue the series, even if the lead is another character. Your forgetting that there was once a Metal Gear game that Kojima had nothing to do with, it was Metal Gear Snake's Revenge on NES. It'll be another story line within the world. I'm hoping its a prequel to Metal Gear that explains the history further; maybe they can use Gray Fox?

I actually want MGS4 to be the final game to have anything to do with Metal Gear universe. As much as I love the seris (my favorite ever, by far) it's that love that makes me want MGS4 to be the final one. I would much MUCH rather see the franchise go out in an epic bang, with one of Kojima's best works ever, than see the franchise whored out with further games not created by Kojima (be them pretty good or no).

Remakes, I guess would be ok. But please, no MGS5 unless it's created by Kojima, but he's said repeadedly he designed this game to be the end of the saga. MGS is relies VERY heavily on the story, and you can only carry on the story so long. Plus Kojima and all the reviewers/previewers say MGS4 wraps up the story and ties all the lose ends flawlessly.

this is a nonsense news/rumor. its been stated directly from Kojima long time ago already. He did not say this will be the last MGS. But this is indeed Snake's last mission. There is still possibility of MGS5 but no longer will involve Snake. And also he did mention that if the next MGS game is being plan, he will also no longer be the big man behind it and he will leave the project to his "boys". while he would rather work on something completely different a new IP or something or maybe revive some of his previous projects like ZOE n etcs. Scrap this piece of so called news please.
