Tuesday's Metal Gear Solid 4 press event in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills concluded with an audio clip of a phone conversation between franchise foe Revolver Ocelot and an unknown character, with only Ocelot's side of the conversation presented in the clip (with subtitles shown on the screen). Mark MacDonald, 1UP's man at the event, translated the subtitles to English. Some extracts of it here :
"We're entering into the last phase of the mission.
Do you want to execute the launch day surprise?
Yes, that's right "
"Live, simultaneously throughout the world...
Yes, it's under control."
"By the way, what should we do about "The Project?"
Yes, that's correct.
That man has fallen.
It's about the sequel.
Yes, indeed."
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
can we let metal gear 4 come out first before we talk about this
it's going to be 360 exclusive.
(sorry, couldn't resist after all the useless MGS4 "rumours")
If it isn't, it would be inferior to the 4th. Without Blu-ray, HDD and so much going on in the cell processor, I don't see the next MGS coming to 360. Well, then again, it just might be multiplatform, but on PS3 and the next Xbox.
Im a MGS hardcore fan .. I dont know snake will be there or not... :( !
snake will die in MGS4? plz no...
anyway 30 Hours of gameplay is enough to enjoy watching Sanke alive (hope so) I will play this game many times ( like first and second one )
thank u kojima , cant wait to see your next title ( more than KONAMI next Metal Gear )
I am not so sure it will go by the Name Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear yes, but Solid? No. I don't think so anyway.
Also Kojima has already announced this will be his last Metal Gear game so I thought. Without him I am not sure where the series would go or if I'll like it when it get's there.
