An Eager Title

Sly is one of the greatest characters in video games. This sneaky thief is well worth all three video games and a fourth eventually. The Sly collection is one of the best exclusives to date. When they each came out on PS2 they were great and had tons of content. Each game had a mind of its own and each game had there own unique experience. Thanks to Sly and the gang they are one of Sony’s cherish able characters in video game history.

The story had me going for all three. It was hard to put the first one down and once completed, I had to start the second then the third. They had an amazing storyline. Each kept it fresh and had a great pace of storytelling. It was impressive, for these HD remakes. After first I didn’t think I was missing much but once again when I put in another Sony exclusive it has become one of my favourite games. Sucker Punch knows how to put a stealth game together for this thief and his gang.

You play as Sly in the first installment of the franchise and for the second you play as Bentley, Murray, and Sly. As for the final installment you play as the gang with a few other characters. After playing the first one I felt satisfied and then starting the second one I felt let down by adding a health bar and the enemies harder to kill but I soon got over it. But what bothered me were the worlds they created. Each game got bigger and expanded.

They put the levels in some hard spots to get to just to play the levels so after playing the second I was eager to play the third. I hoped it would be better then the second but nothing could top the first. After completing the final chapter (or is it?) it was completely well done. I felt like I was playing what the second should have been. Everything was perfected and the worlds were way easier to attend to the levels. The levels were more exciting and everything looked great. A quick some of the gameplay but all three were great at what they did.

The sound was great for each installment. Sly and the gang had great voice actors, and they all had their humorous jokes which made me chuckle. The worlds and levels were great and were very much alive. Sucker Punch knew what they were doing when creating these games. The graphics were a well shaded game. The cartoon graphics made the game look great especially with the HD remake. The environments each had their own look and never looked plain at any point.

These games were a nice change from your average shooter. It all felt great playing these games in HD, a short sum of what these games were like but each hold a great experience for everyone. The Sly series is one of the best games out there to date. If you like stealth, action, and something different from a shooter well then look no further. This is your golden idol to tons of content and many hours of gameplay. There is so much to do with The Sly Collection Sucker Punch knows how to make great games and put together a special package for all of us for one of the coolest Raccoons in town!

Greatness Comes in Threes: Best Trilogies in Gaming - Part Two

SPC writes, "The trilogy-- in movies it's a common occurrence with hugely successful blockbusters whether it's Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Toy Story, or Back to the Future. Trilogies are also pretty common in gaming as well, but at the same token, an actual good trilogy is a completely different matter. This new article series details some of the very best trilogies that our hobby and industry have been able to create in its much shorter lifespan. This second edition (the first was seen last week) deals with more recent trilogies both official and unofficial."

My personal favourite is the Uncharted series, suprised that Mass Effect and Gears of War didnt get a mention in this article.

Phil323203d ago

No worries. They're coming in a future edition!

It's sad to think that both Metal Arms: Glitch in the System and Banjo-Kazooie could have joined this list, but now they'll never get the chance...

Phil323203d ago

Yeah, Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite platformers of all time. I own Metal Arms and still need to play that. I know I went out of my way to pick it up.

Metroid Prime. It's not even a question.
