This is the best one of the series!!
I advise any Dynasty Warriors fan to add this to their collection.
Dynasty Warriors 6 has the best gameplay because the battles are much more detialed than the others, because in the others you could just get on your horse and charge straight for the enemy leader, but in this one you lead groups of your armies to capture enemy bases to lower the morale of the enemy causing them to lose numbers.
You can also get help from fellow generals (computer controlled or 2nd player controlled) in taking the bases and if you defeat a certain number of troops they will praise you and their force morale will increase.
Some fans might be annoyed because alot of the characters look different and have different weapons (also the voices are different, but I think there better) for example Lu Bu (everyones favourite) has pitch black armour and his weapons is a sort of Spear Star (Two spears combined in a sort of star shape). But I think he looks much cooler in this one than in the previous games.
Another new thing added to the game is the fact that you can climb ladders to reach the fortress walls to destroy Ballista that are stopping your advance. You can also swim in this one, its a bit annoying because you can't attack whilst swimming so your sort of a sitting duck (or a "Swimming" duck lol) but when your on a horse they to can also swim and you can atack whilst on horseback in the water.
So in a nutshell Dynasty Warriors 6 on PS3 is WICKED!!!!!!!!
Dynasty Warriors 6 was a controversial game that took the Warriors series in a much needed new direction. Can Dynasty Warriors 9 do the same?
DW9 came out a few years ago and was not met with kindness. You mean 10. DW6 was not a good direction at all but DW6Empires was alright by me.
What i remember from DW6 was alot of characters who had unique weapons in the previous games ended up with either a spear, sword or bow. Some that come to mind was the guy with the claw like Vega from street fighter, the guy with tonfas, the guy with the samurai sword and the chick with the bladed rings, all cool weapons changed to generic sword, bow or spear.
The spinoff strikeforce was pretty cool.
The Dynasty Warriors series has turned 15 years-old. And Koei Tecmo is celebrating with the release of a special trailer.
Such a shame the series is so much worse now than it was back in its 4/5th iterations.
