There are different levels of interactivity starting with how you react to different conversations. Different emotive stances are chosen by you suave, aggressive or professional. This affects your reputation and how those people react to you from the very beginning. I chose to be aggressive most of the time with the guys and suave with the ladies because as we all know chicks dig a smooth bad boy. So I put on some shades turned my baseball cap backwards (because that is always cool) and started with the trash talking.
But although my aggression and the messages popping up on the screen that I was apparently putting forth a dislikeable vibe my 'handler' still called me “Mikey” in a likable tone and only seemed to dislike me for the immediate response and changed tone as though we were best of pals again soon after.
The multiple choice plot plays out depending on how you answer particular questions or what course of action you decide to take. This leads me to the replay side of things, there are quite a few branches that the story can be taken and a different path is taken for each decision, so once getting to the end I was curious as to how it would have been different if I had of executed that particular person instead of sparing their life for instance or refusing to cooperate etc.
Another cool element is the interactive spy elements deactivating alarms, picking locks, hack computer systems that require you to find a code of letters and numbers like find-a-words from a board of flickering, matrix like, constantly moving letters and numbers that would give anyone a headache if not a seizure.
When a plane gets shot down using an advanced multi target missile, the Middle East is of course blamed, but who is really behind it? As Michael Thornton, it is up to you to lead the game and steer the course of events and fate itself. A man shunned by his own government, a man who has cut himself off from those he thought he could trust, what will your course of action be for each choice given?
The third person action parts on the other hand don’t fare as well. Simple things like vaulting over sandbags or dropping from a rooftop is only available when an icon appears to indicate that this is action allowed losing any sense of free reign and where I my disappointment lies. This, the intermittent targeting system, the unhelpful PDA that is supposed to pass as a map made this part of the game frustrating, restrictive and uninspiring.
There were times when I felt like I was just wasting bullets on enemies because they just brushed them off as though they were just annoying mosquito’s. I was better off running up and using my fists instead when I could. I just didn’t feel like I was dangerous with a weapon, even if I did level up the soldier and weapon parts of my character first over stealth and sabotage. Or after spending countless dollars on upgrading my weapons with sights etc that apparently made them more “efficient”.
Not really the best looking game in the world, but beauty is only skin deep and this game has a really nice personality. If you can deal with its short falls i.e. the sub-par action man role and take it on pure RPG value instead, this is a game worth playing. In this case words speak louder than action.

Cultured Vultures: In the spirit of preserving some kind of history of this industry, we’ve decided to list some of the best games that you just simply can’t get hold of digitally at the minute.
I just started playing Spec op. I've had it for years on steam and forgot about it. Such a good game.
Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.
Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.
wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.
Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
Kevin F. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Many of the best Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Some even with some enhanced visuals and performance. Unfortunately, not every game from the Xbox 360 library has received this glorious feat of being able to be played on more modern Microsoft consoles."
The Spider-man games will never happen. The xbox 360 Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have a better chance of happening than Spider-man titles but won't happen. The Xbox One Ultimate Alliance games delisted years ago
Yeah... you can totally forget about those entries that got delisted because of licensing issues. Those are not happening.
In the latest Ripe for a Reboot, JDR looks back at Alpha Protocol, the espionage RPG where you could globe-trot, blow things up, pretend to be James Bond and save the world all at the same time.
nice review i loved this game. It has many flaws but is still really fun to play. Its a shame there wont be sequal so they can improve on it.
