It was released in October 2009. The PSPgo is the first major form-factor change for the PlayStation Portable since it launched in 2005. The PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 are no longer in production, so if you're looking to pickup a new PSP from retailers, you pretty much have these two options. Hopefully a look over some detailed comparison pictures and features will answer some of your questions on which PSP system is right for you. There's also details on all Firmware 6.20 differences on each system. Both systems have 6.20 installed, but did you know all the menu differences?

See 30 comparison pictures and notes of the PSPgo vs. PSP-3000 here.

Is This One Of Tetsuya Nomura's Unannounced Games?

Siliconera: In addition to Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Final Fantasy Agito XIII, Tetsuya Nomura has some top secret projects in the works. That's what he told Famitsu and Siliconera may have a glimpse at one of them.

Square Enix filed a patent application with Tetsuya Nomura as the inventor for a character switching battle system. The patent describes a RPG/action RPG (it mentions both terms) where a player character can switch and control a temporary character during combat. When you jump into the shoes of another character you get his/her/its stats and special abilities. Once time runs out, you automatically switch back to the main character and inherit the temporary character's abilities.

GT GOTY Awards 2009: Best Story

Gametrailers continues its Game of the Year awards, next up, best story.

What In The World Is Metal Gear Solid: "Piece" Walker?

Konami built a separate website for something called Metal Gear Solid: "Piece" Walker with a picture of Snake hiding in a cardboard box saying "Piece Walker coming soon…"

25 Best PSP Games of 2009

PlayStation LifeStyle brings you the top 25 PSP games downloaded from the PlayStation Network according to Sony.

Handheld RPG scans 12/27: Dragon Quest VI, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Etrian Odyssey III

Dragon Quest VI (DS), Valkyria Chronicles 2 (PSP), and Etrian Odyssey III (DS).

Amazon Matches $39.99 Game Sales

TheWiredGamer:

"BestBuy, Walmart, Target, and Amazon are dueling it out with some pretty amazing after Christmas sales on holiday titles.

Today, Amazon has matched the $39.99 sale on many titles including:

- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - $39.99
- Assassin's Creed 2 - $39.99
- Left 4 Dead 2 - $39.99
- Dragon Age: Origins - $39.99
- Batman: Arkham Asylum - $39.99
- plus more...

Check it out: "

No Electronics on International Flights to the U.S.?

Due to that Yemeni moron that tried to blow up Detroit - and yes, he's absolutely a moron for targeting a city that has become so minor due to rampant crime and dreadful unemployment - it looks like electronics will not be allowed on international flights headed for U.S. destinations. That's right, some travelers have reported that they were not allowed to use electronic devices at all during flights headed to America. What's even more ridiculous is that the restriction isn't limited to personal electronics - airlines were instructed to turn off their in-flight entertainment, leaving some passengers with nothing to do but sleep for 13+ hours.

New Trailer Revealed On The Official Birth By Sleep Website

KHUnion: "A new trailer for the upcoming PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep has been released in an update of the official Birth by Sleep website.

The trailer previously seen at this years Jump Festa, an event for anime and video games in Japan, has finally been released to the public on the official site for Birth by Sleep. On international flights (like the one I'll be taking from the UK to the US in a few weeks) passengers aren't allowed to get up, or have any personal items on their lap in the final hour of the flight.

More annoying still [there's going to be] a possible ban on all electronic devices for the entirety of the flight. That eight hour transatlantic flight just got a whole lot longer without my DS or iPod."

Top 5 PSOne Classics Released in 2009

2009 saw the release of many high-profile PSOne Classics on the Playstation Store.
