Gamespot says: We're now getting onto our fifth installment of this feature, and with every passing year the differences between the consoles continue to melt away. When we first started this feature, the differences between some versions of games were astounding. Fight Night Round 3 looked drastically better on the Xbox 360 with its improved lighting and shadowing effects. The following year, the graphics on both platforms got considerably more even--Oblivion even looked better on the PlayStation 3. Every subsequent comparison pretty much ended the same, with the Xbox 360 getting the benefit of slightly higher-resolution textures and other marginal improvements that wouldn't be noticed unless the images were put side by side. We'll see if the trend holds true with some of the best games from this year.

PS3 exclusives fail to make top 20 in UK

This christmas in the UK Modern Warfare 2 holds number one spot after having record-breaking first week sales, crowning it UK's Christmas number 1 game.

Despite the games industry's praise of the PS3's 2009 exclusives, not one managed to reach the top 20 for the week of December 19th, proving to be a huge disappointment.

I suppose I'm not "qualified" to write a "review" because I haven't finished the game, and that something enormous enough to change my opinion of the game completely might spring up in the final three seconds of the end credits. I'm neither a pessimist, an optimist, nor a realist when I say that I'm guessing this isn't going to happen. I'm just being me. For god's sake, if the first twenty-five hours of your entertainment experience are not at least 90% indicative of its overall value, then you're doing at least one thing terribly wrong."

GameInformer writes: Jesse Divnich, director of analyst services for Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR), believes we may see a glimpse of a new Grand Theft Auto title at E3 in June.

Speaking to Game Informer, Divnich made a big prediction as to what we may see at the industry trade show in June. "I think we're going to hear about another Grand Theft Auto. I think there won't be any playable stuff. I think they'll give you some type of teaser, because we do think that a year from then in 2011 we're going to see another Grand Theft Auto."

Blogcritics' Gabe Carr says: "It's difficult to say where Final Fantasy XIII will ultimately rank in fans' esteem, but it seems unlikely to be anyone's favorite. A little over 25 hours in, I can already say with some certainty that it won't be mine. It's not horrible, but it's definitely disappointing. I was hoping for a next-gen sequel that built on the strengths of its predecessor, but as it is, the new installment seems like a step backward. The combat's flashy but even more hands-off than that of Final Fantasy XII, and outside of the combat - well, so far, there's very little outside of the combat worth speaking of."
