@predator: Kindly don't refer to me as a 'idiot' -- it's highly offensive and incorrect. Just because I feel this story makes for poor news -- after all, any 'idiot' knows that shopping online typically secures better prices than the highstreet -- does not give you the right to insult me.

The story is a pretty pointless. Online deals are almost always better than highstreet deals. It's pretty much a nothing story. To be newsworthy, it should have compared like for like (i.e.: comparing how much the various items cost in retail outlets). Oh, and Meus, I think Singstar with the microphones costs a little more than £18 -- or it did when I bought it... <grumble, grumble>

Other than Singstar which cost £18, the difference between the other titles is only £5-£8 difference.

Who cares?

People will most likely buy the better games, the new ones, than the older ones anyway which is a good deal considering most stores sell those games at £40

The stroy has been covered already! The fact that some stores already sell the games and machine at a discount does not devalue the deal at all - and is certainly not news worthy. The deal means any customer can walk into any retail shop and buy the unit and games at the same price as the cheapest online retail outlet.
