The Inquirer, which is a premiere UK hardware/software news site, obviously disagrees with you.

<p>Your rationale is flawed. Just because a "crime" (violation in this case) was committed five years ago and didn't get caught until now does not mean it's old. Let's look at an analogy: let say a murder happened 20 years ago, and the killer didn't get caught until today. Is it newsworthy now?
