The title of this story is very misleading. While the cited data does show that the PS3 is played the longest at a time, the data also says that the PS3 is the least played console out of them all.

Utterly misleading. Check the real stats in the article:

"Sony's Playstation 2 accounted for 42 percent of video game console usage during June far outstripping the Xbox, which had the second highest usage at 17 percent, according to Nielsen's latest GamePlay Metrics.

Rounding up the list of consoles was the Playstation 3 with just 1.5 percent of usage and the Wii with four percent."

MK_Red, I've noticed you have the habit of changing the title to sensationalize a story. You really shouldn't do that. N4G tutorial and guidelines specifically say that the title should be the same with the one of the article you link to.
