Rumor: Bioshock Coming To PS3 in 08

Megascorcher reports: " 2K Boston (Irrational) let the news slip out today that the ultra popular Bioshock is indeed coming to the PS3, labelled with a "Spring 2008" release. Speaking with some one on the "inside", he told us the project was always slated for a PS3 release. It was just a matter of waiting for the timed exclusivity to expire."

Marionz...totally agree...

whether you like fps games or not, the game should not be missed...although I would never put it on the level of greatness that review scores and 360 fanboys do, its definitely one of the better single player experiences of this year...

I beat it twice on a PC...got to see the two different endings already...so I guess all I have to look forward to is the mindless insults and comparisons coming early next year...

1.6 - Well, thats annoying.

Bioshock was the only reason I brought a 360.
Oh well, at lest I can play Mass Effect when it comes out, otherwise the Xbox would be collecting dust.
All the other game including the cross platform ones I get for the PS3 because its a nicer system to run. So I hope MS wasn't hoping that as soon as I got their system I was suddening going to get all my game from them...I only use it for their exclusives.
Also, they can only pull this trick once. From now on when ever an exclusive comes out, people will think should a Get a 360 or wait to see if it does come out for PS3.
Had I expected Bioshock to come out of PS3, I would have waiting and not bother with getting a 360.

This isn't confirmation at all but I think most people have a feeling that this game indeed will be released on the PS3 version. I would consider buying it because the PC demo was amazing. I just hope this port does the console justice because it will be hated upon if you get an EA quality port here.

Yeah but they might do a "lost planet" as well and add a few things too. I mean they have time they might just add something which would be cool. I have it for 360 and wouldn't buy it again though but for those who have yet to try it. Could be sweet. Either way though its always good news when everyone gets to play great games imho.

I heard from a couple of PC gamers that it was a bit short. There are only 6 levels I understand.

Maybe they can add a few levels or something to improve it, before it comes out on PS3. They will also sort out the aspect ratio I guess.

I liked the 360 demo, very dark and atmospheric.

Some random dude claiming something in a blog without source? That's not "confirmation".

That said, I do see this as being very likely. The game was received extremely well on the 360 and PC. So after the timed exclusive expires, they anounce it for PS3 and release it 6 months later.

It's highly possible, but this is not CONFIRMED, so you really should change the header of this post.

Although he might be just making the whole thing up what I found interesting is what he wrote in it about it probably wont make that much of a splash since coming out six months after most people who were intarested in this game have already got it or in the least played it. Myself I think a 6month exclusive is almost and I reapet ALMOST as good as a exclusive when it comes to big or really good reviewd games simply for the fact if someone really wants to play a game there not going to wait six months when they can get it for one sysmtem before that. Having siad that Im sure many people would be happy at the thought of having this on ps3 so they dont have to get a 360 to play it.
Id just like to ask though why some people find it ok to post certain blogs but if a blog is posted that goes against what they think its not ok. I thought posting blogs was not allowed here anymore?

Yeah, me too, but I was still able to play some awesome matches last night. The best, general reasoning for those problems is that the servers were overwhelmed by the number of people playing (think Warhawk during its first week). Don't forget it's Veterans Day weekend in USA, which translates to a long weekend for many. Still, despite the number of people playing online (COD4 was unbelievably sold out everywhere when I first got mine 3 days ago), the game was amazingly LAG FREE, I repeat, LAG FREE, without the $50 subscription! ;-)
