Assassin's Creed Game Informer Review - 9.5

If only to experience the unique world and amazing movement and combat, gamers owe it to themselves to try Ubisoft's big holiday release. Its stunning visual style, high concept story, and wildly open level design are like nothing else, even if too much repetition begins to frustrate in the later hours. It's a game people will still be talking about five years from now. Come to think of it, they may have a lot more to talk about by then.

Holy Moly ZOMG! Superb awesome find. Seriously. Superb review. GameInformer FTW! Assassins FTW!
An open world / sandbox game that innovates and has superb graphics and production values. A true masterpiece.

The game is longer than 10 hours and it's replay value is "REPLAY: High" and it has no multi! Wow, my definit 2007 GOTY, At least based on this:
"a title that innovates in so many areas it helps to set a new bar in various aspects of gameplay, storytelling, visuals, and controls. "

Now this is a true next-gen game. Innovative, awesome and fun.

This is exactly how I feel right now... I fell in love with this game and was jealous of PS3 owners when i first learned of Project Assassin... then it became multiplatform and I was excited... then previews and the E3 mishap made me lose almost all interest in the game... but now after this review... my interest has SKYROCKETED

It's more than great that all PC, PS3 and 360 gamers can enjoy this masterpiece :)

The special thing for me is that GameInformer is my fave review source and I believe in their reviews and scores more than all other source combined. I absolutly wasn't expecting their review so soon. Thought it's another Halo 3 / COD4 case that reviewers have to hold onto their articles and publish them just when the game comes out.

Kudos to Ubisoft, Game Informer, Jade Raymond and her excellent and talented team.

AC was my most anticipated game of 2007 and what I saw in GDC and even E3 was more than enough to convince me that this is a masterpiece. The reason I said GOTY based on 1 review is that all my review need to decide about a game is Game Informer. The only source I trust with reviews and when they say it's a superb game I believe them. I don't care what GameSpot, IGN, 1UP and rest of the pact say in near future. They all have more than one dark point in their histories.

And one review from Game Informer is worth more than reviews of GameSpot, IGN, 1UP, GT, GPro and EGM combined so... yes based on this review, Assassins should be GOTY! (God I love this game...)

You know how old that article was about 360>PS3 on AC? It came out on Sept of 2006! More than an year old, and that was during a Xbox convention, so no wonder they were praising the 360 more, for they are being paid to do so. Also, all the newer game play vids are now being recored on the PS3...you can tell by the button icons.

I HAVE to play Uncharted as well as Mass Effect before Assassin's Creed...my brother's getting Ratchet (wallet relief, however brief...lol) and I still haven't played BioShock...and COD4 is certified awesome...I can't believe this year bro...well, yes I can...just peek inside my wallet...NO DOUGH...lol...I made a joke a couple weeks back on N4G about how I might buy the Christmas tree this year, put a bow at the top, stick a card on one of the branches, and let the tree be my family's Christmas present from me...lol...with ALL my GAMES underneath...haha

Must buy game! So it looks like the only flaws is that the controller setup has a tad learning curve (good it has a tutorial) and that it suffer some small camera problem (nothing new in a 3rd person view sandbox game...all the 3D GTA's have this issue also, and the MGS series).

Yeah I went all out this year. I bought 20 PS3 games (since January, not including PSN games), 12 xbox 360 games (since August and not including XBL games), and 6 Wii games (not including virtual console games)...and I'm still waiting for my preordered COD4, Uncharted, Mario Galaxy, Mass Effect, and Assasin's Creed. Not to mention I bought all of my systems this year...I think it's safe to say I'm finished lol, unless another sleeper hit comes out :(.

Edit: oh no, and I forgot about Kane & Lynch...I almost hope it sucks so I'm not forced to buy it haha...

did u see the multiplayer mode in kane and lynch? it looks sooooooo much fun. never seen something so fun. it reminds me of me playing thief / police when i was a child with my friends. amazing, running around catching each other, and putting the thiefs away in little jails build of wood. haha good old times. =D

It is crazy like soo all those games have got 9.5 compared to all those other gens before who didn't have as many rated too high. every game coming out next year will all get 9s i guess!!

Anyway i do agree with this review, however i am sure next year this time there will be great games, which will show more potential from the X360 and PS3 with even better graphics and get 9.5 it is just crazy!!

if mass effect wasn't set in space more 360 users would consider this game GOTY,

there isn't a game on either the ps3 or 360 as impressive as this.

the only other game i thought would be goty is coming out in 08.
