personally i think the ps3 version is the version to get for those of us who own the orignal ps3's with the 4usb ports anyway. Wireless is also always the way to go. However if they go taking out online features and such and such then 360 version will be the way to go. At the end of the day it all depends on whether that lil usb issue as annoying as it is will deter you from buying it on your 360

yea more things to plug in is always a problem. I'm surprised that the power isn't thru the USB itself. I guess it would drain to much from the console itself, right? Plus won't they need to make one for the other model of the PS3? Couldn't they of tinkered around to make em wireless by hooking up the controller to them like they did with the Wii Guitar for GHIII?

Unfortunately you can only get so much juice through one USB connection. They might have been able to make a Y cable that eats both USB ports to get enough voltage, but I can't say for sure.

would be more pricey... I love being having no cables on my ps3 and would love to be wireless on pc or x360 (if i had one)
ppl stepping on controller cables comes to mind... made my earlier consoles fell a couple times :S

Dude how many great games do you have for that ps3. entertainment and elegance you say! Entertainment on 360 lets see... video marketplace with thousands of tv shows and hd movies, demos hundreds of them all free and playable. Arcade, hundreds of playable demos and full game downloads. A superb game library that ps3 can't and won't match. optional hd-dvd player that has pip and web access for the movie you are watching. Easy access to files on the pc (not trying to be a lame slow pc) but an extension of the pc experience. Unified friends on all games and apps. I could go on with others but this post is getting 2 long so think about that before you spout lame remarks like that dude.

What a douche. If he wanted to say the PS3 version was a better version, why didn't he just come out and say it. I don't really see a problem with that. But the say "Rock Band's Xbox 360 USB Hub = Fail" because he don't have anywhere to plug in a simple USB hub (probably because he's charging his vibrator) is ridiculous.

Any, the PS3 version is more attractive due to wireless. Cool, I agree. Be the entire article was a joke.

STFU - Too many people put stupid titles on storys to get traffic to their blog or pages. Don't try to down play it. I agree with UXO 100% it happens too often. If you learned anything in school you would know that you should be able to read an article or story and then understand why the author chose the title he chose.

I think this is a definite fail on Harmonix/MTV part, not 360’s. It odd that Red Octane could get a wireless guitar for 360 and Rock band couldn’t? Was there ever a reason stated as to why Harmonix did not make at least the guitar wireless for 360? A usb hub with a cable going to the 360 + a power supply wire is annoying but I guess livable. It would seem though that they are going to have to provide the same for PS3 owners. I doubt very seriously they are going to make two PS3 packages, one for the 60gb/80gb owners and one for the 40gb owners. If I were a potential buyer for the PS3 version I’d be very curious as to how they will work it out. Will they a) have one with just the USB port and you will have to buy the wireless dongle later or b) provide not only a USB hub but a dongle as well and charge $10 more for the PS3 version or something. I guess in the end there are still questions on how Harmonix will work around it.

Yes the USB device is a major failure. The anguish it will cause me is overwhelming. Thats what I will do buy a PS3 because of an ...u. s. b. add on. Its truly the end of the 360. Because of all the space I will save from not having the USB hub I will add a giant black PS3 in its place. Its obviously the most logical thing to do. Thanks PS3 fans Im sold. PS3 vs usb hub= no brainer.

How is the PS3's hardware more friendly? If anything it is obvious that Harmonix did not or could not work out a wireless setup for 360. Fine, we've known that for a long time. Red Octane could with 360 & GHIII but Harmonix couldn't. Oh well, but PS3's hardware isn't 100% friendly anymore either. If there was just the 60gb & 80gb then everything would be free and clear, BUT with the new 40gb bad boy there is going to have to be some sort of powered usb hub for PS3 as well. I honestly think that for a game that is supposed to be the next big thing in music interaction, Harmonix cut there nose off to spite there face.

They should have taken the time to come up with a Bluetooth setup for PS3, worked with MS like Red Octane did and come up with a wireless setup there and then there biggest snafu was not making a Wii version day and date with the rest! A system that is 100% based on peripherals and you push Rock band back until MAYBE next year for it? The worst call of all on Harmonix's part.

That is odd as there isn't a Wii version this year and it is still up in the air as to if and when a Wii version will show up next year, plus there will not be downloadable content on the Wii. Nintendo does not offer it. USB dongle or not, I want online co-op/competition AND downloadable content.

Resistance did ok but its like the cod 2 for ps3. R&C is a gay cartoon little kid game that idk why but people care. Warhawk omg why dont i just play bf2.
