Over too soon seems to imply less than 8 hours - that just doesn't seem fair for $60. There was a similar issue with Gears but it was so immersive and realistic that after playing the game you almost felt as if you had been in a war (that is far more artistic than most action movies and most of the "modern art" crap to all the idiots that suggest games cannot be considered art). Plus there was an online element (and the hardest difficulty level is tough). If this is true then it seems that HS is a rental - after all, there is no online play to extend the experience and you can play it twice in a weekend.

Note to developers - if you are developing a game, please plan for at least 15 hours of solo gameplay or include online gameplay.

So HS would probably have been a AAA titles except it was too short - cause an 8 is not a AAA - it just means it is worth playing (either by renting or purchase).

It is bad that they are short, didnt read the whole article but did they play the whole game? I must say i didnt like Gears campaign at all, but the multiplayer was probably one of the best i ever played.

So? Xbox World gave Bioshock a 9.4.

Heavenly Sword, when it's reviewed by EGM, IGN etc. it'll be an 8 average max. So no AAA/killer app/system seller AGAIN. Lair also even worse on a few times 6. hhhmmmmmm seems you have to wait untill Uncharted. Lets hope that'll be AAA otherwise the PS3 won't have AAA untill 2008 with MGS4 probably.

It's also funny how much stock he puts into the godly power of reviews too. It's sad really that fanboys on both sides get so caught up on what other people think that it actually effects YOUR decision to play a game. Are you sheep, being led to games other people tell you to play?

i agree with some of what jay3 said, its just a personal preference, but i stopped playing games like crash, sonic, ratchet and clank, jak and dexter etc., when i was in middle or high school

Im more interested in the Edge and gamesTM reviews. They seem to be the most fair of the lot.

Basically if a game gets an 8/10 or above in one of those mags you know its worth buying

IGN/EGM it'll get about an 8 out of 10 there MAX. Nothing over a 9 for sure. Lair, Heavenly Sword no AAA in that way. Uncharted CAN be AAA. But thats not untill November released. Ratchet and Clank. COuld be, but its kiddy. I'd rather destroy some Big Daddy's and kill Little Sisters then some jumping pinguins. Or saw Locust in two parts in that other 360 AAA game.

Especially when knowing that you havent played Heavenly Sword in any form. It would take alot of courage from a xbox supporter like yourself to confess that Heavenly Sword looks great, and that people are recieving it rather positively.

If anything it will be a 8 at the MINIMUM.

Comments regarding the PSW review included that, they wanted to give it a 9, but the length (Gears of War-esque length, before you start twisting that part) made them ultimately go with a 8. Which already sounds really well in itself.

Not to hold it against you but, I think Bioshock has "bigger" plans. *winkwink*

excatly what happened to METAL GEAR being on the 360. was it not supposed to be announced at E3? so in order for people to have fun on the PS3(atleast in your eyes)every single game needs to get a perfect 10 am i right? the PS3 has a wide variety of games that tend to the needs of many gamers, unlike the 360 which mainly has FPS'S, any game that isnt a shooter sucks, and that is where SONY shows it can diversify in the game it offers people. hell i got rainbow 6, GEARS, LOST PLANET, call of duty and the condemned, oh gasp.....they are all FPS'S and i like em all......but that is what im looking forward to on the PS3 different genres of games. you are by far the saddest fanboy MART, post up your gamer tag....that is if you really do have a 360.

15 hrs of gameplay is the usual length of an action game anyway. I would love to see it at 20 but 15 is standard and it shouldnt be judged too harshly because it follows the standard. HS is pry a 9 or higher for me too... but cant say for sure until i own it.
