Playstation Premiere 2007: MGS4 Gameplay Finally Seen, New Products in Japan

And here's what everyone's been waiting for. Hideo Kojima demonstrated the gameplay segment of Metal Gear Solid 4 on actual PS3 hardware for the first time. Kojima showed Snake using his camo suit to disguise himself as a bronze statue, hide in barrels and trash cans. He also showed Snake knocking down enemies rolling the barrel while he is still inside it. After feeling some discomfort, Snake "revives" as he is given a female idol magazine. The producer also revealed that an online multiplayer mode will be in the game and more details will be announced at the 20th Anniversary Party next week.

We should get next week a DEMO on store, it's fare if we can "join" that 20th anniversary party too. Let's hope they release it, or in the worst case, a in-game trailer of that on stage play.

Have you people never played the PSP version!?! The multiplayer is great (if you can get used to the controls), very intense indeed. I'm guessing it will be along those lines and maybe..... Online co-op! That's all the rage these days anyway.

I hope two years from now all the early PS3 buyers remember the turning point of the console war. Mark it down it was this month @ E3 the PS3 begun its comeback.
With the confirmation that MGS4 was to remain exclusive when all the others had jumped ship way too early based on preliminary console sale figures. Only to find themselves inevitably blown away by the remarkable quality of the exclusive titles.
Many will disagree I'm sure as they have always done. .

and I sat with my mouth open for a good couple minutes. I would love to see anything and everything on this game. I love the series but I don't think that I want a demo, I'd like to play it in its entirety.

Very true. Splinter Cell is a good game, but it can't compare to MGS. Just like Resistance is a good game, but it can't compare to Halo. Just like PGR or Forza or Need for Speed are good games, but they can't compare to Gran Turismo. Just like C&C is a good franchise, but it can't compare to Starcraft or Warcraft. And just like Saints Row is a good game, but it can't compare to Grand Theft Auto.

Some games are legends in their respective genres. MGS, Halo, GTA, Gran Turismo, Warcraft, Starcraft, The Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mario, etc.
