I'm going to download this video, and stream it across to my PS3. Then, I'm going to play the video clip and setup a video camera recording me and I will sit there pretending to PLAY THE GAME!!
Then I'll post it on YOUTUBE, and say that, like, I have a pre-alpha version of the game because my friend's dad works for Infinity Ward or something.
BRILLIANT RIGHT!? Nobody has ever thought of that before...

It's alot darker i like that makes you feel like your really in a war at night. The night vision makes it seem that much more realistic.

WOW! that game does look amazing. It is nice to see some real gameplay footage. It looks spectacular. It will only get in as time goes on as well. Very impressive! Seems to really immerse you in the experience. Tons of action going on around you.

I agree. I think in this day and age that also online co-op is almost becoming a must for FPS games. But at the very least even split-screen co-op would still be fun.

It definitely has a more cinematic feel that a lot of shooters don't seem to have. I'm really hoping that Halo 3's single player will look as cinematic and will be filled with lots of hectic, epic action like it seems COD4 has.

Please explain to me how this gameply looks NEXT GEN...?? It looks fantastic and im very excited for COD4 but its still just a typical FPS in the control area. You can see that from the video. Gears WAS next gen in all aspects accept for the online setup... Gears was something new and worked great... while COD4 is going to be freaking amazing.. its still just a FPS and you can tell it controls just like COD2 and 3..

You just had to get your little jab in at Gears simply because this game will be on the PS3... Your wrong about how the gameplay is new on COD4.

Give it a rest mate. Gears of War (GOW) was a solid looking game but the single player campaign was pretty average. Resident Evil 4 offered a better gaming experience than Gears of War. At least RE4 lasted longer than GOW, could not believe I got through GOW in a weekend (playing for about 11 hours). They tried increasing the games length by throwing in that nonsense about finding all the hidden objects (i.e. if you see a GOW logo on a wall or something then the object is near by). That is so last gen. Would have been better if the signs had been painted by the resistance to indicate secret (alternate) passages or weapons stashes...

If GOW had next gen gameplay then the enemy AI would have been 10 times better. For instance, the level where you navigate the darkened streets shooting gas tanks to create light. Well, given that the locusts emerge from the ground why didn't they tunnel up underneath the gas tanks to prevent them from being exploded or something like that?

Nope, enemy AI in GOW was fully scripted and you can play it 10 times and they will do the same thing each time. Not saying COD4 won't be like that but I was disappointed with the AI in GOW in that respect.

To me, COD4 looks to be a more complete Next-Gen experience - certainly seems to up stakes in the visuals department.

Again, your complaining about the length of GOW NOT the gameplay. The instant cover system combined with weapons we had never seen before and the online co-op.. (Which was brilliant) sets it apart. RE4 is another fantastic game but is not next gen based on visuals.. which is part of the package.

COD4 is going to rock as I said before, I love the series.. but its still just a FPS with nothing "New" just more stuff going on around the gamer in a super slick package. It might look better than Gears but it will not have a new feel to it as Gears did. Remember, we are talking about the full package.. not length of game..

First let me say God Of Gaming you bring up some good points and I don't disagree with you, I guess the reason I'm hard on gears of war is because they really didn't do much. Considering they used the Unreal gaming engine which pretty much gave them a really amazing starting point.

However yes they did bring the whole package as you state with the hide and cover system found in the game. And yes that whole idea is next gen, it was wrong to say Gears is not true Next Gen because indeed it was.

I just love taking shots at Gears fans because it makes me smile, because people love the game so much any little comment about it can cause a Gaming Fanatic Frenzy... (so I like to tease them.. LoL) My bad.

Ok now that being said - to me I just felt Gears was really more of a graphic demonstration then a true next gen game, and the reason I say that is because I felt like the Game play was a little choppy.

where COD4 will indeed play smooth as silk, no sticking and feeling blocky and slow like Gears felt. Even running in gears is weak, you have to run in a straight line or the run stops... to me this all just spells a game that was pushed to the limits for graphics and game play or fluid game play fell to the side lines.

Yeah Gears is cool but it has it's flaws let's not get crazy, Halo it's not. Halo is a fluid gaming feel. COD4 will have that same smooth game play as Resistance fall of man and Halo and many other FPS. That's a big part of Next Gen, not messing up Old gen.

You take away the graphics on Gears of war and you got a pretty plan and cheesy game. You can't say that about COD4 or halo, even with the graphics gone they would still play fluid and fast and nice.

But don't get me wrong I love Gears I just felt it wasn't A true next gen complete package as you did, But I respect your point, and can understand if you loved it - I just feel There really wasn't much done in terms of making it play fluid and smooth - as far as putting the extra polish to send it over the finish line.

And I believe Gears Of War 2 will show that as they clean of the blocky feel and tighten up the code.

COD4 looks like it won't slow down and will not seem like it's sticking at times, and there are tons of next gen features from the lighting to the trail of smoke from a past battle or the added run, done right I might add.. LoL - you will see this game will be amazing. And it will also be the true total package you speak of. Not that Gears is not good.

I really do like gears of war too it was a really good game, I didn't mean to imply anything different. I just feel COD4 will be a more complete next gen game.

Much better job of explaining how you feel :) I never said I loved Gears, I think its fantastic and Do think the controls are something NEW and are next gen. No other game had the fast cover system like they did and it just felt fresh. Did it have some small issues? Heck yea.. but it was something NEW which was nice. COD4 looks to be the same thing just in a much better / slicker package. (Which is just fine with me)

Also it is rumored that COD4 will have online co-op... now that is one area where Gears was next gen.. super smooth jump in jump out co-op over LIVE and if COD4 does that I will worship the ground the developers walk on.

And let me be straight.. I HATE how Gears is online.. I think they missed a big chance to make it the next Halo 2 online if they had only taken the ideas of Bungie in that department. But playing through the entire single player over LIVE with my brother who lives 900 miles away from me was some of the best gaming moments I have ever had, thats why I enjoyed Gears so much.

But hey... this holiday I dont think anyone will be worried about Gears :) When a game like COD4 is number 4 on my list I really start to worry about how we will all find the time. Are you gonna get COD4 on the PS3 or 360? Just interested in what system you will choose..
