Me too! Besides Walkmans, there could be so many other applications as well. I guess Sir Howard Stringer meant it when he said he wanted Sony to focus again on innovating new technologies.

PSP2? This would mean more space and portability maybe we'll get L2 and R2 buttons and especially another analogue stick? But i wonder how much this tech would cost.

Inedible vegetable matter sounds cheap.

Cool idea, but we probably won't see anything like this for a while.

@Than: Talking about inedible vegetable matter is just one of those "green" bullsh*t approaches. Just make it out of something sturdy and cheap. I really don't care where it comes from as long as it performs.

Sony, RIM and the Mozilla Foundation. Great innovators and tinkerers there.

Will these Walkmans have firmware updates every three weeks? Maybe the first update will allow for AAC format and the second will give them cross-song chat. I hope they implement video in a future upgrade.

/sarcasm

It was just a jab at the PS3 firmware updates. No harm intended.

The only harm I see in your post is to your intelligence and wit.

None taken.

Unfortunate part of that walkman design is that you would have to use a bluetooth headset.

what's wrong with bluetooth?

Yeah cause you know, bluetooth headsets are stereo and work in pairs. Edgeofblade, why don't you stop talking. You always say things that I guess you believe are factual... when in reality (where most of us live), I can create more facts by farting.

@ Noctis - Nothing. Edgeofblade just thinks the blue in bluetooth has something to do with the blu in bluray.

5 - I'd love to see...
a PSP2 with flexible OLED screen in the next year or two. I'd be willing to pay the premium for it on launch.

As long as they don't dump it and sell the IP to Toyota like they did for their QRIO robot.

I hate you for that Sony! That little guy was revolutionary <_<, doesn't matter if you were bleeding money on it.

9 - OLED is INCREDIBLE
I have the latest Sony walkman from Japan with Oled screen. At first I found it nice, but when I took my Iphone and other lcd devices and played them next to the OLED walkman, it was pretty shocking! blacks stay totally black, as if the walkman was turned off! even in a dark room. And colors... incredible.
So, it's just impossible to think that a PSP2 couldn't have an OLED screen. Zune HD has one, so, every future devices like PSP2 or Iphone must take that path. As of SONY, I think that's their plan anyway...
Now, I'll just wait for big TVs...in 5 years... (Goodbye Greys! Hello perfect black!)
