I'm sad to say all my trophies have been synced a few days back, i haven't earned any new ones yet.

So is it everyone, or are they any people able to sync?

EDIT: Just read above about your bro.

We then.... i guess there's really a strain on the servers right now. As long as people make it known i'm pretty sure it'll be fixed within a few or couple of days.

Since the update this has happened. This adds salt to the new update is ready. The servers have obviously been updated ready for the update and are having problems connecting now we just need our update for everything to work smooth. No doubt syncing trophies was one of the fixes with the updates and that's why its broken now. So no doubt Sonys just made it faster.

Man im glad im not the only one. I couldn't believe yesterday. Basically, I used to have a motorstorm 2 gamesave but it got lost when my harddrive got wiped. But I felt like playing motorstorm 2 yesterday after a long time of not playing it. I stick in the disc, have to download an update for the game. I do that and create a new gamesave. But the 15 motorstorm 2 trophies I won before have disappeared! I thought its cos I started a new gamesave. I couldn't believe I lost all the trophies I won for it before. And then I couldn't sync my trophies and I thought it was to do with that. But if everyone's experiencing it then maybe its not

I couldn't sync trophies today, either. I also keep getting a message periodically saying:

An error occured trying to register. (80121604)

I have no freaking clue what that means.

This isn't just effecting Modern Warfare 2. I got my platinum trophy in A Crack in Time on Tuesday, and when I went to sync, it errored out at 92% every time. It's just all got something to do with the PSN maintenance, that's all. Everything will probably be up and normal soon enough.

I was having a problem with this since the 10th when the PSN was undergoing maintenance. And then there was added strain from people playing COD4 and getting trophies. It's network related and you just have to keep retrying and eventually your trophy data will upload to the servers.

There's no proof of that either. Although it seems more logical to say that an increase of net activity is causing the servers to perform insufficiently instead of saying some random error occurred.

Quite possibly, they certainly could've overlooked some net activity trends that could have led to such problem in the first place. And before you go "blah blah blah they don't know what they're doing so retarded blah blah" this is a common situation. And it's not like xbox never had a server problem.

Were you expecting me to say that Playstation 3 is a system with no problems at all and is perfect in every way? hahaha. I've never said anything like that, just that it's better.

You act as though you have a system that never fails on any part at all, that can do more than ps3, tell me what is it? I'd love to have a video game console that doesn't have oh lets say... a 54 percent fail rate on release.

but this time you're COMPLETELY wrong. Know why? There is a small percentage of games that initially load the trophies at the time it's turned on, like Fallout3:GOTY and Star Wars: Ultimate Sith Edition. If you can't sync your trophy list you can't play those games. Happened to one of my closest PSN buds. Sucks when you got an hour to play and the whole time you spend in frustration trying to update your trophy level.

I was earning trophies on Tuesday, however when I went to compare to a friend's, it didn't sync up and I received 3 error messages before it finally sync'd up the 4th try. You can still earn trophies but they might not show up on your profile.

Sigh i shouldn't even grace the open zone with a logical explanation. With an increase of users, comes the bigger strain and demand for more space on the servers with all the services that rely on those servers.

People bought the PS3 went the price went down, and they especially bought the PS3 when said game came out.

Now this doesn't mean no one can't sync their trophies, it just mean everyone trying to do it will cause some not to go successfully the first time through.

should have made a games console that didn't requires a team of 500 developers 7 years to write simple games that can be done to the exact same quality in a 10th of the time by a team of 3 developers on the xbox 360.

360 = profitable even at $99
PS3 = not profitable even at $400, and is currently selling at a huge loss adding to sony's $4.7 billion deficit.
