I can seriously think of fewer more awkward feeling things than when I put my graphics card into the oven. It was tense, odd, and concerning.

Be prepared for the smell though. Remember when you tried to make creepy crawlers as a kid but burned them? very similar...

this is the sh@t they dont teach you in school =D now remmember kiddies if your graphics card dies on you at school just ask your home-ec teacher if you can pop it in the oven for lets say about 10 mins, lol ok seriously DONT'T even think of attempting this unless your atleast mildly skilled at IT, or atleast can bake a decent cacke.

Wrapping your 360 in a towel.

Not being a troll or anything, but after my 360 died, I wrapped that sucker in a towl and turned it on. OF course it didn't work right away... a few restarts later and...

A miracle! The solder melted and hardened, connected the GPU to the motherboard again, bringing it back from the dead!

But like all zombies, it died the next morning, and wouldn't see the dashboard again... turtle beach towel and all.

Apparently this Oven Trick works the same way. Melting the solder so it reattaches to whatever is causing the issue.

I wouldn't suggest this, because you can easily inspect your card for any pitting or loose connections. IF you can't find any issues, then feel free to bake yourself a GPUPIE.

Off topic:Me and my friends grabbed an old, busted PC and f*cked it good by plugging a 120 volt AC adapter into the ATX power connector. The southbridge exploded =D

I find it kind of funny that you can fix stuff by cooking it :V

Yep, it's sad they didn't choose to include the originator of this technique in their story. Making it seem as if Robert came up with this idea on his own.

And there's many more around. It's become quite well known in the PC tech community.
