If there's such a big graphical difference between the versions, I don't think we need such thorough analysis to find out for ourselves.

Gaming sites should be focusing on the BUGS, not the TINY GRAPHICAL DIFFERENCES (if any), so that we as gamers can get the same experience across all platforms.

My roomate has it on the 360. I have it on the PS3. I could see the envy in his eyes and facial expressions and he continued over and over again to come into my room and watch me play. Maybe its the Sony Bravia with the Bravia link that makes it look so much better. Who's knows? All I know is that he has my Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound setup in the living room but it's a complete waste since the 360 can't output HD Digital Theatre Surround sound (HDDTS)or even DTS for that matter. :( PS3 supports DTS in every game! :)

The graphics are still bad, its annoying that they did not even bother to increase the actual render resolution of the game because it makes it a lot harder to see enemies at a distances because its so blurred.

I think we've basically gotten used to multiplatforms are very close to each other if not identical in terms of graphics/performance. We dont need these comparison crap anymore...

There's only one shot with any real difference IMO. Otherwise while playing they're pretty much the same. But the edge still goes to the PS3.

If you look at the clip rail on the right, you'll see the PS3 version is nice and detailed while the 360 version is a bunch of random blocks connected.

And if you look at the texture of the soldier sitting, the PS3 version is sharper while the 360's is blurrier.

The PS3 version is clearly the winner in at least one very quantifiable aspect, and that is in texture detail.

Take a particularly close look at textures on the turret gun in the following screenshot; the PS3 version very noticeably shows that the textures on the turret gun are CLEARER, more DETAILED, and of higher resolution than the 360's turret gun. The numbers on the gun are rendered in higher resolution, and thus are more legible:

Also, further proof: Here's a previous, older screenshot comparison that shows another instance where the texture detail is greater and of higher-resolution than the 360 version. Look at how the metal stove on the right has significantly higher texture detail on the PS3 version screenshot:

PS3 owner here. And they LOOK THE SAME. Some of you people are insane. Ask yourself this: if someone showed you a screenshot that was not part of a comparison and asked you to guess whether it was PS3, 360, or PC, you'd have no idea. Thus by any practical definition, they look the same.

Just like MW1. The only difference when playing them is the controller. If you have all platforms, buy it for the controller you prefer, or to play with whichever friends you want to play with.

There is a work around for the join issue, although that doesnt mean it's less of a problem but right now, not even being able to connect what so ever is becoming very f*ing annoying.

Problem with trophies, fix problem while f*ing up bigger portion of the game, the online. Come on, how hard is it to install, check then release.

Especially annoying when you have those bragging theirs works, yet dont seem to leave N4G to even play it, huh Jolly.

Lens of Truth and Gameswire are both valid in different ways. Lens of Truth is good for its movies with frame rate analysis, while Gameswire have as good quality screenshots as you'll see anywhere and use pure-digital means of capturing footage, which means they don't use crappy analgue conversion tech to get grabs from ps3. So it's a fair way of comparing pixel-by-pixel in a way that you can't really do when looking at compressed video footage.

I own both consoles and I like knowing if there are any differences between the two versions of a multi-platform game, even when the difference seems small to some people.

@17.3, funny, this game looks better on the PS3 and I still see a lot of PS3 people here saying how stupid the comparison is...including myself. I also have a solid PC, which like Tordavis said will be the "best" platform for it graphically, but even then the difference is pretty laughable.

This topic divides the old schoolers and the kids. Old school gamers remember PC vs. SNES vs. Genesis. THOSE were some worthy differences to discuss when cross-platform stuff was available (though back then "exclusives" weren't the endangered species they are today, and cross-platformers were more rare).

And this is while comparing one machine which has 3 processor cores and another which has 8?

After going by all screens shots from different sites and seeing the two versions, up close, running side by side, the PS3 does have the slight edge. If Eurogamers face off says any different, then I will really know they are BS! and it will show everybody that they are liars.

Oh and those so called framerate problems, you do know its only about 2 frames a second between the two versions? The PS3 version drops to 57/58 frames a sec, while the 360 drops to around 58/59 frames a second, You do know that the human eye could not even see that!
