Yeah, I don't think this facebook thing is legit. I think someone made these pics. You can access almost any site using the browser. They should rather enhance the browser and make it compatible with all types of media players like when I try to access a couple of sites that use Windows Media Player plugin for streaming videos, PS3 browser doesn't let me see any video. The page gets broken and what not. I think SONY should focus on providing features like cross-game voice chat that everybody has been asking for (not me, I am not a big fan of cross voice chat)

...I agree 100%, I solid Browser would be best. I hate going to a website and getting the "You don't have the latest Adobe Flash" message. It also seems like MS is doing the best they can to make every site use their software, like silverlight, which unfortunately *cough* purposely *cough* doesn't work with the PS3 unless you find a loop-hole like Netflix did with the disc.

Yeah, so unusable I write half of my comments on N4G using it. The Wii's browser is garbage and they are actually charging people to use it. Lets not forget memory and resolution either(wii=480p, ps3=1080p). The difference is huge. And you say it's "user friendly", which is hilarious. There's nothing complicated or difficult about the PS3 web browser. It comes closer to the web browser on a PC then a Wii does.

You guys sit around and wait for them to implement everything. It's a win-win situation for me. There's a working web browser on PS3 and if it's implemented, none of us will need to be a "premium member" to use it, lmao.

I taught my wife how to use a PS3 and of course the browser and she tried to access Facebook. (no choice since my PC is broken and yet to be fixed/upgrade!) login is ok but she can't use features like barnbuddy, farmville or mafia wars. is any of you guys encountered this problem?

I think in game music is proving problematic for Sony regarding a patent owned by Microsoft.

I too would love this feature and hope Sony can find a way around it.

If all you care about is "immersion", please... go play a PS3 game. As for me, I'm not so sure immersion is all it's cracked up to be. Let's take Uncharted 2. I go sneaking up on a guard in the chapter 2... only to have a cutscene fire off and interrupt me. Why can't I do things myself instead of letting the game play a little scene where it does it for me. That's no fun.

Hy Dion ever stop to think that the multiplat commercials that says XBOX 260 only is an advert paid by Microsoft ? Why would Microsoft pay to air an commercial for the enemy ? If Sony wants people to know that the game is also on the PS3 then Sony needs to advertise that game. Microsoft is the one doing the advertising for THEIR system. Id love facebook to be included in the ps3.

The web browser isnt good enough for it.

What would be cool is if you had your friends list, and then you could have an ioptional faceboon friends list to the right of it. Then you could talk to your friends on facebook throguh your ps3 whilst playing games.

It would be a cool feature to have. I personally use it to talk to good friends and especially for people i dont get to see much.

I dont see the issue tbh. Facebook is an incredibly popular socail website. Everyone at my college uses it very reguarly so it lets you keep contact with all your friends.

Ive tried the ps3's web browser on it and it just doesnt work, having it integrated would be really good. I like talking to people whilst playing games so it could go straight to the chat feature already in place.

And for those saying how it would clutter things up theres a answer. Like Vidzone and playTV make it an optional extra. That way you only have to download it if you want it.

For me it would be a great addition to PSN. Its just another example of consoles turning into entire solutions for entertainment. From games to music to video, and nw with social networking. Consoles mean that you only need one box under your tv.

Even TV is being put onto consoles with Play TV and sky.

XBL has FB well integrated to their system.

Seems like PSN is doing the same which is cool. Why are you guys so against additional features? The more the merrier! Sure you have the PS3 browser, but if they incorporate smoothly onto the XMB it would be great for the millions of users out there.

Unfortunately I can care less with FB.

As for Gamercard colors, how about you actually listen to the community Sony? The forums are full of well designed revamps for things like gamercards and XMB, etc. Those colors look ugly and is only a border color.

How about Trophy Leaderboards between friends and all other users?
How about a recording studio/mode that can allow you to tape your gaming sessions/allow to upload to Youtube?
