I've always enjoyed going thru the SP first, or most of it so at least there's that. I'm not the greatest MP gamer anyway, get owned a lot but still have a good time. But hey the MP status screen looks better than most of the horrible games out there right now... Haha! I kid, or do I?

all my friends and family got it too, guess wot, NO INVITES, RIP OFF, the name sells, i only got it cuz of family ( they buy into the hype) for me, its cod 1.5, cud have been an addon and i wouldnt tell. were waiting for battlefield, finally a battlefield to go back too, just like the good old days.

Not that it feels identical to Modern Warfare 1, but that it looks identical. Extremely low resolution textures, jagged shadows galore, low polygon counts. I know it's multiplatform and all, but at least use SOME of the PS3's power.

Killzone 2 sh*ts on Modern Warfare 2's animation and graphics. And it's 8 months older!

Update: Oh yeah, and why doesn't multiplayer work for Modern Warfare 2 yet? This is frickin' ridiculous. I'm tempted to just get my money back from GameStop, or at least trade it for another game.

XBL is playable that's all I need.

Theirs like a little over 300k registered into the MW2 leaderboards on the Ps3 while their is already 698K on the 360.

For the servers on the Ps3 to be overwhelmed is just funny, guess they actually believed the fanboys would be spending their money elsewhere lol all 40 of them.

It's not a developer issue. It's a server fault. LIVE servers are ran by Microsoft whilst PSN servers are often run by 3rd parties hired to do so.

I'm not here to start a war or anything but to answer a question so frequently asked.

Many PS3 owners ask us why we (Live subscribers)are ok with paying for Live.....and this is your answer. It's not different companies with their own servers all under the PSN tag but one company's servers (Microsoft) under XBOX Live. Less opportunity for things to go wrong. I want to say the servers have gone down once that I can remember and they were back up by the end of the day.

PSN is a great service but it's instances like these where I have no issues paying for Live. Hopefully IW gets your servers up and running soon

A friend came over with his copy of MW2 late last night we popped it into my PS3 and Multiplayer didn't work. Not because the IW devs "don't have their sh!t straight" but because PSN connection service was down.

Everyone rushing in here blaming the IW DEV's because their precious PSN could never be the issue, and saying so is near blasphemy is hilarious.

Oh and by the way I got the PS3 version and my boy got the 360. And the PS3 version looks a little better, not saying it's a better version. It just looks a little bit better. I know I'm going to get attack by the xbox camp, but oh well

I played MP last night for hours without issue. I wake up and tried to connect and a patch is required. After the patch, nothing.

I question IW/Activision's response to the issue. Since Sony does not manage the servers, it is Activision's/IW's responsibility to make sure enough servers exist. Sony isn't going to monitor every published and developer to make sure they have addressed the required infrastructure. Activision and IW both screwed up, period. Why not have a demo to address issues just like this? Did they not think MW2 would be this successful? Come on! Activision and IW screwed up and won't admit it! They want to blame everyone else but themselves. Look at their forums...constantly giving SQL web errors.

Personally I believe the issue stems from the patch. It isn't like you are disconnected, joining games takes forever, etc. You simple can not connect now.

I see a lot of people bashing the PSN network. PSN is a fairly stable service. Sometimes stuff just happens. Did everyone forget about last year when the original Modern Warfare was unplayeble on Live during the Christmas holidays? Lot of Live bashers then, and now that PSN has a hick-up its the reverse.

I guess the real question is do we blame Sony for keeping things free by having the publisher host the servers, or do we blame the publisher for not providing enough servers to meet the demand?

Personally, I'd rather not pay. Activision should have had more than enough servers ready. It's not like they aren't making a fortune on this game.

My psn works fine its the game.As soon as the patch came out I couldnt get back into the multiplayer.And for anyone saying give IW or activision a break can kiss my a$$.They should have had this worked out way before release.Theres absolutley no excuse for this whatsoever.M.A.G worked great and it had 256 people in the game at once.So how hard is it to do something right.Theres activision make all sorts of money as usual for a broking game.Nice job.And dont tell me to give them a break.With the money these guys are raking in and with cod4 under there belt they should have known how to do it this time around.Dont blame psn there not to blame take credit for mistakes that are made Activision.Xbox live is having the same problem so you cant blame ms or psn just the people responsible.Sorry that everyone is getting screwed over here.Just not right.

I was playing the MP last night but did find it laggy in places, I know it not my connection as im on 50 meg fiber optic with virgin.

Today however I cant get on at all, been trying since about 12pm and its now 9:20pm UK time gggggrrrrrr

i mean look at all the media attention xbox 360 got...on x-play, the midnight release at best buy, the mw2 console, and NOW MP for PS3 problems, people buying MW2 for MP...its clear bc of <5 hrs campaign.....so by screwing ps3 owners with online play...those who can choose between ps3 and 360 will definitely go for 360 version

Whats funny is Activision knew how popular this game was and how well it would sell and I waited 4 hours inline at Gamestop to get it at midnight. I would have had it for my 360 but that redringed so I chose the PS3 cannot get online with the game and now Sony says they are doing an update at the sametime like WTF is happening.

Sony was supposed to shut down psn early this morning for a few minutes, but the truth is that IW underestimated how many PS3 owners were going to be on the servers, somehow. And from what i've seen and heard the ps3 runs just as smooth as the 360 version...for free.

I played online with no problems then today i get the latest firmware and i cant even connect dont get me wrong its a great game but the devs need to do more testing for big games like this before they release them and if i can remember well we had the same problem with gta 4 the first week.
