Seems everyone hated motion control until their company of choice released one. Funny how that works.

considering that the just released wireless N adapter cost $100, i cant imagine natal being only £50

anyway, if natal does actually work like the E3 conference shows and is priced decently it could be huge

2010? will the xbox even be a viable platform by that time? A year is a very long time away. WiiHD should be out by that time, as mentioned the ps3 wand will be out. Will there be any 360 fans left that dont already have motion contols bythat time?

10 - I'm still worried about the quality of the motion sensing itself.
They've been wrangling up developers and investors left and right, but still haven't been able to eliminate some significant tracking glitches and lag from Natal. It's not like those issues can just magically disappear by launch date.

As of right now, the PS3 motion controller looks more accurate and reliable for game developers, and will actually allow certain Wii titles to cross over to the PS3. Natal is really just EyeToy, and there's a good reason Sony stopped pushing for games that strictly relied on the camera. It's just too limiting.

crazy price for the tech, fair ammount of computing power heat sensing cameras etc in that little box, it will be impressive if they bundle it with every 360 @ no cost.

Personally. I'm not a fan of any motion controllers. I think they are just a gimmick meant to bring in "non gamers" But my question is to anyone that wants to answer it. If you are using the standard controller with NATAL? Then whats the whole point of NATAL in the first place? Why not just use the controller???

Suffer from sub par success then I will sit here and laugh at you all who thought natal would be anything but a add on that shined a little...but did not live up to the hype...(i don't even see a reason to be excited abut what we have seen from natal if you are hardcore) Natal has showed us nothing but a hype train that dose not deserve it

This is just another toy to appeal to the casual. Natal along with Sony's Wand will have little to no impact on the casual market. As sad as it is the Wii holds most of the casual market. Sony and MS are just trying to take a little piece of the pie from Nintendo is all.

Once agian we see nothing but hate from most posters on this site.

The price point and game support were both points made against Natal in other articles.

Now we have some details saying that it's gonna be a reasonable price with a strong games line up, and its still getting venom from the haters.

I don't get it. Natal looks and sounds promising to me. It's got strong support from both first and third party developers, the price is looking like a non issue.

If it works it works, if it doesn't it doesn't.

18 - I can only imagine natal will only have slow pace games.
Since xbox main game genre is fps, I doubt you'll have accurate aiming not to mention movement.

18.1 - xbox's main genre is fps?
I think the 360 is one of, if not the, most balanced console for games. It has a ton of rpg's action adventure games, 3rd person shooters, sport titles etc. If any console is being fps specific I'd say it's the ps3.

19 - Interesting.
Natal does seem like it will have the support from the start to make somewhat of an impact. 14 games at launch is a good start, and with launching with their biggest title in Halo: Reach, it could make for an interesting holiday.

However, I'm still not buying some things noted. While a $50-60 price point sounds nice, it sounds highly unlikely, considering Microsoft's horrendous history of peripheral pricing ($100 Wifi adapter, $150 120gb harddrive among them.) I have a hard time buying that this will buck this trend.

Some of you are already projecting mega success for Natal. I want to all to take a moment, stop being blinded by fanboyism and be realistic. Motion control is a fad, not the future. Its primary aim is casual gamers, which by the way, is not the 360s audience. It may have a problem latching onto this group.

In closing, console add-ons have a LONG standing history of failure. I don't see Natal changing that history. It will have its moment, and then fade out of existence.

19.1 - biggame. Your comment...
"Motion control is a fad, not the future. Its primary aim is casual gamers".

That may be true at the moment but there is potential for more complex or hardcore games.

Natal and the PS wand is another step along the way to that awesome Jedi game we all dream about playing with motion controls. (admit it, you know you have.)

Console add ons are hit and miss (mostly miss.) But that dose not mean someone can't get it right one day.

21 - Wow
Its nice to see 360 people hype about something that says it can do alot but you haven't see much for, I'm betting Natal is going to do as good as EyeToy did or in 360 words, about has good as LIPS an that movie game that puts you into the movie.

Sony is pushing their idea with the controller an making it feel more real, E3 they show move styles of games that it will work with then Mircosoft did with their little cam, I don't see Natal working with more then one person because to much movement going on, but 360 people have been knew not to think of the problem that it might have.

Another thing to keep in mind, Sony did the cam last gen, which means Sony has move time and work on their idea's then Microsoft has on Natal.

It's funny how people are dissing "casual" and complaining that it is being forced upon us. People willingly forking over hundreds of millions of dollars, Euro, yen...

That doesn't sound forced to me.

Why all the hate for casual games? Uncharted 2 is a great casual game.
The sad thing that you have failed to realize is that most games are already casual.

I totally agree with above statement- most games today are to easy to call hardcore.I see more hardcore games on xbl and psn- and def on the virtual console than all these $60 titles.

23 - Natal is the future of motion
Natal is NOT Eyetoy. I can see Natal out selling Halo Reach. 3mil in 2 months. Some people would buy it just to move around the blades on 360 dashboard. I am a hard core RPG guy, and I want one.
