Bye bye to you. You will be the next one joining up with a new account a day after you get banned(tomorrow).

Selling a $5000 Bravia with a free PS3 will not lose them money! Oh this is AU, sorry $10000!

If anybody is looking at buying a TV there can be no better time IMO, A free console with an HDTV is a pretty sweet deal if your lucky enough to win the system.

They are even suffering in HDTV sector thanks to Samsung and LG's new HDTV line up. Nothing can compete at the moment with the new thin LED TVs from the korean Giants.

ON console side PS3 sales have gained but not too much to have a comfortable level and with the big hitters already out this year.

Yeah this might be a great idea for those loyal sony fans to buy a Sony tv even tho' their tv's are ranked pretty low compared to Samsung and Panasonic.

Sony TV's aren't bad at all. They're recognised as some of, if not the best. I've got two in my house. Just check cnet, review sites, or anyone who knows anything about that kind of stuff.

Those Samsung LED TV's are hella expensive.

Their problem is their price. I opted for a Samsung LCD for my gaming TV, I would have preferred the Bravia, but a similar model Sony one was a good $300-$400 more. The Samsung LCD is a great performer for only $1000. It's full HD, 32 inch, sleek design, great picture, deep blacks, good response time. The closest Sony model with similar specs was $1399. The Sony was in all a better TV, slighlty better contrast ratio, cleaner picture, deeper blacks, and was 100HZ while the Samsung is only 60Hz. But an extra $400 is steep when you can get a still good Samsung.

Dont listen to Neil and Bob here, they're just not Sony fans.

Sony and Samsungs are the best, everyone knows that.

Why o why - 49 days 7 hours ago
5.5 - wrong guys
the expensive samsungs are good but all of them including sony's pale in comparison to the pioneer kuro plasmas. The ONLY tv to go up in price and the amount of tech they put in them almost killed em. They dont even make tvs for themselves anymore. Check the reviews

Pioneer Kuro is really high-end! Out of my league, that's for sure. I will get a 1080p Bravia projector and screen for that price!

@bunfighter

Sony used to be king from the days of Triniton way back in 80s but have been surpased in recent times by korean companies and Japanese comps like Panasonic. I had bought in dec 2005 Sony Grand Wega 50" 1080i HDTV w/o even an hdmi and a month or so back started developing coloring issues in the center and also lot of shiny dots coming up.

SO instead of paying $1k on repairs i picked up at slighty more amount a Panasonic TH50PY850 1080P 50" plasma. The quality is day and night from the sony grand wega and everything is so fluid and looks like LIVE TV. It even has 2 years warranty compared to 1 year standard with all other tvs.

they aren't exactly free. my friend got one in this promotion last year. after it the price of the model tv he got dropped by the price of the playstation (which then cost $699). so your still effectively paying for the PS3.

8.3 - yeah,
i got my second 1 about a year and a half after the first. The first was a 43" yes 43" and the second was a 50" which was £450 cheaper than the 43 with twice as many features. Amazing screens... could heat a small home mind you but i have them both on power save 2 and the picture output still looks better than many of the newer screens

Its to help sell Bravias.

Im not sure but I wouldnt have thought that right now Bravia is probably suffering. many other TV makers are making TV's of similar quality for a much lesser price.

I got a bravia a couple years back for HD gaming but if i were getting a TV today Id get another brand, since for less money i could get better specs.
