I paid £45 for this. The RRP is £55. That considered; I really don't expect this to happen. Ever.

(by this I mean needing a patch to fix party invites and trophy problems not minor bugs... obv that will happen but trophies and party system should just work.)

Patch is comming on friday. That's not soon...that's a few days later. Soon is in a few hours.

Anyway, now we can see that which version did IW pay attention to to make sure it works perfectly and which version was neglected.

Also IW released a patch to block PS3 users to get trophies until 11-10-09...unfortunately to many PS3 users the patch is still in effect even though it's almost 11-11-09. The patch created a lot of problems.

Yet the 360 version of the game was never patched to block achievements. I wonder why is that?????

Also how dare we expect a product to work fine when it releases??? How greedy are we??? I mean if you get a car and crash it on the first day,....and get into a wheelchair, don't blame the company...the car just came out. /sarcasm

This is the same COD4 game in everything. Same problems same glithches, same inferior version on the PS3. It has the same laggy online gameplay. How the hell this game get so many perfect scores?
The campain was good but only for 4 or 5 hours. The multiplyer aspect I believe its the worst of any COD released. The multiplayer maps are the worst in any COD also. Too many fukn campers!!!!!!!!! Thats why PS3 players didnt like KILLZONE 2...it was more difficult for them to camp. Also reviews so far seems really biased. WTF the game is good but a 10 in graphics?? LOL! "The only game who almost come close in details is Uncharted 2" . After the reviews this game got, and after experience myself both versions (PS3 and 360) I have to say thet the 360 version looks better with the specular lightning and bloom effects. The PS3 version (as always with mp games) looks like a rush work.
Thats why I dispise about some people who trash talked KILLZONE2. At least Guerrilla went the extra mile making the game look extremely good and detail...only to be ashamed by the biased journalism and some PS3 players who only buy Call of Duty.

Come on Treyarch...bring LEGO CALL OF DUTY next year...there are a lot of PS3 gamers and 360 gamers willing to spend their money in any $Hitty Call of Duty related product.

Yes I spend the money on them too...but at least Im a gamer who bougth games for having fun and support my consoles with their exclusives...KILLZONE 2, FORZA 3, Gears 1 and 2, HALO 3, FOLKLORE, UNCHARTED 1 and 2, RATCHET, MGS 4, KAMEO, GENJI, LOST ODDYSEY, inFAMOUS...and the list go on with more than 200 games combined.

u guys are all idiots... when i came home with the game around midnight it worked perfectly. I could join/invite ppl to any game mode. Stopped working around 3am EST when the westcoast got the version of the game and the servers crashed. It was bad anticipation that the game wasn't gonna sell this much on their part. This has nothing to do with them fuqin testing the game or anything. How can they test 500k+ plus live players logging on at the same time to play the game. Plz read or have some sort of common sense when it comes to this stuff. Happened in CoD MW1, Halo, and Gears of War.

On the 360 all of this stuff is uniform and built into the code. so they can't miss something like this. All they need to do is fill in the blanks. Sony is getting there but they still got some work to do.

The reason the trophies don't work properly is apparently due to a bug caused by a last minute bug fix patch, the 15MB one, and it's easily solved by deleting the game data utility if you want to play SP and downloading it again if you wanna play MP.

There is a MAJOR issue with this game.

Listen to the BluRay Drive as the game is playing (I have only seen MP)

The disk is constantly READING and STOPPING.

This is gonna cause lots of failures and its not SONY's fault.

And then I come to N4G and see a few 360 owners talking about how the PS3 ALWAYS has to be patched?

WOW! I've had my 360 since launch and i can tell you the 360 had it's own share of patches to stop the damn thing from just failing! From my understanding, the 360 also has a patch coming and that was the lead system.
