...is that its too expensive given the short single player campaign and the multiplayer lobby sounds inept. I want advanced search options and not the automated ones.

Try multiplayer gaming in New Zealand and you'll understand why I want a better lobby system!

Other than that I'll bet the game is a hell of a lot of fun but single player ain't worth the asking price and multiplayer lag ruins almost any on-line gaming experience.

Ask yourself, if you can't play on-line (and a lot of console gamers still don't), is the single player really worth the current retail price? Single player only = rental.

If there's anything I can do without, it's ANOTHER FPS. It looks somewhat great, but I'm burnt out on the genre. I'll pick this up used in the future, though, because I'm not supporting Infinity Ward and Activision. But it's a definite used buy.

This Game Will be like all the popular top rated FPS's... This Game will Score high because it's hyped. The campiagn is said top be 4-5 hours long.... Most i know 2 games with bigger set pieces. i tell you when fanboys are in the industry you cant get anything genuine bacause it skews their veiw on something. oh well

they should've just released multiplayer as a downloadable game for 40$. It cuts out the middle man and people wouldn't have to pay for such a small campaign. Glad i'm passing on MW2 this year and picking up Bad Company 2 instead.

The line for the game at midnight at my tiny gamestop near my house wrapped around a shopping plaza. I went to Walmart instead and still waited till 12:30 to get the game because 20 people were ahead of me.

I played the game. The single player I was not impressed with. The MP I haven't dove into too much, but I think giving the game 9.5 is not right at all. This game is not a 9.5 on it's best day.

why are the only metacritic user reviews for this game that i can read 10s when the average user score is 5.6? Why are there no bad reviews to read.... i suspect many people got it at midnight and finished the game before breakfast and got pissed...

hmm thats a good score. im still debating if i should get this or not. it's pretty much the same game with some improvements but so is every other sequel. the sp campaign is short, but the mp is what makes cod great.

most of my psn friends will buy the game, so i can own them online. the graphics look to be improved from the first game(they better be after 2 years) but dont even come close to killzone 2 or uncharted 2. IW shoulda took that budget activision was wiling to give them.

hmm what to do.....

Modern Warfare 2 is destined to be the highest profiting game since Halo 3. who cares if a few sites say that the graphics are a 10. Personally, I believe that 10's (for graphics) are only possible on PC anyway....BUT, there have been 10's for both the 360 and PS3. Uncharted 2, Killzone, 2, MGS4, Gears of War, Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2, and Forza are all 9.7 or higher. Does not matter if MW2 got a little bit higher than Uncharted....they are both great and thats all that really matters. Honestly, there is no real difference between 9.6 and 9.9. People are acting like IGN is saying 720p looks better than 1080p. MAYBE THEY PLAYED THE GAME ON A PLASMA HDTV THIS TIME, AND FOR UNCHARTED 2....IT WAS ON A LCD HDTV. Stuff like that matters when viewing movies and games.
