If they did this with the PS3, I'm pretty sure the same thing would have happened. People like when things are less expensive. It might have swayed people who were on the fence to finally get one.

If you shop at Wal-Mart frequently, it's like $100 off the system. A very good deal, if you ask me.

Not taking anything away from xbox360 sales, but it would not be unreasonable to assume the kmart sales also took away sales from other stores also, like gamestop for example. Just a shift of where the xbox360 is purchased.

The deal was also on line with Amazon.com and Walmart.com, they sold a ton. Even today the Arcade all by itself is #6, add all three SKUs and I'm sure they would be very close to #1.

And the PS3 slim wasn't a act of desperation!!!

Well it's true I keep ringing up Xbox 360 at my electronics register all weekend long. But to some parents like moms mostly ask does it comes with anything I told them the truth. It only comes with 256mb of internal memory and yes you get 100$ gift card. If your kid wants to continue to save games or starts to get a larger collection of games they would have to buy either the 60GB HDD or the 120GB HDD and a wired controller. They would either use their gift card to buy the HDD or get it later on when they want too. But she say that I have to think bout it first cause the HDD is 99$, only a few says that. So it be more money to them if they buy the Arcade and most people don't know that. And I do work at Wal-Mart still get to see new releases before a week the game comes out.
