Modern Warfare 2: PS3 vs. 360 HD comparison

Here's a batch of Modern Warfare 2 comparison screens that were taken with Full RGB and Superwhite settings on the PS3, thus offering better comparability than the former comparisons. All the shots were taken with a professional grabbing system in 720p.

Shoddy screen shots, in many the shot was taken in different stances (crouched/stood), in different positions and even with different guns.

Youd think that they would do one set of screenshots first, and then use them as a refrence for the other console to get them the same... =S

All i can tell from them is that the ps3 seems to have darker shadows making them look more natural, apart from that completely identical.

those shadows make it better ninja...How is it you dismiss something that is a valid point? That first shot of the mini gun is a classic..Ps3 shot looks natural,Xbox looks umm way to shiny

I sure as hell can't see it. COD4 was pretty much identical on both PS3 and 360 and I've seen nothing yet to make me think this will be any different. If you enjoy COD then either version will be great.

They're both identical, thank you Infinity Ward for showing sorry weak devs *cough* valve *cough* that both systems are perfectly capable of providing the same awsome experience. Rabid gay fanboys, please keep your mouths shut. You can't nit and pick at something since the screenshots are not taken at the sametime on all them, and things like fog and smoke are constantly moving and are a little more random than persay the stationary and game characters.

Only difference is lighting.PS3 looks more realistic,360 has that Unreal/PC(I know they didn't use Unreal) glow to it.Other than that....identical.

So tired of these stupid multi platform game comparisons, there is no point, the games look the same, its not like the developers are going to make one game better for one console and not the other (unless the devlopers take extra dev time for one console and not the other).

Looks the same tbh. in most places.

But i won't be buying it, just watched it and just looks the same old thing, like all the other COD'S..

I hope people enjoy it.

But i'm waiting till march for BFBC2 for my FPS, maybe take alook at mag.

I was just given a broken xbox360, but i've fixed it, might do the x-clamp fix on it also. And a few other mod's.

I won't be paying the live though, just use for SP on 360 only.etc.

GUYS THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RGB, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ADJUST THE BRIGHTNESS LVL IN THE OPTIONS MENUE! THE GAME TELLS YOU IN THE BIGGENING THE FIX IT BUT I DONT THINK IT SAVES IT,

The PS3 version looks better, but not by a huge margin and that's good. I was originally going to get MW2 for the PS3, but it bricked so I'm getting it for the 360 instead. I was worried because MW1 on the 360 looked... not great. Adequate, but not great.

they almost look exactly the same but with some screens ps3 is a little darker and xbox being lighter. but still u will not even notice while playing

14 - it's not about the graphics
both versions are almost identical with some pros and cons to each version.
but anyone who played the game will tell you it's not about the graphics..

the level design is very low-poly, textures are medium quality, shadows are pixelated like hell, and the resolution is 600p sub-HD.

BUT the game is extremely intensive, enjoyable and action-packed, and while playing you don't really pay attention to the lack of details in the graphics.

15 - Looks two years old, but fun right?
The graphics are not even worth crying over. This game will lose a pixel pissing match with a lot of other games that are at least a year old.

The game doesn't run in HD. The textures are still crap and the campaign AI is guaranteed to be garbage.

Its worth it for MP, who cares about the rest.

Both identical, but will be renting it for my 360 rather than my PS3.

Main reason PS3 controller sucks trigger button wise. The trigger buttons always seem to want to fight with you and I cannot play long gaming sessions with the PS3 controller as I can with the 360.

Non of them are in HD both are 600P Hahahahaha

PC is 2560 by 1600 16:10 198% more than 1080P
PC is 7680 by 1600 48:10 594% more than 1080P ATI Eyefinity

i think the set up is wrong, 360 most of the time looks less bright than PS3, and in those photos it looks too bright.

They look pretty darn close, I'd say the PS3 appears to have a slightly better depth of colour, and there's one shot of light streaming through the window where again the PS3 gave a more realistic effect

But apart from that I think the majority of players would be hard press to tell the difference, especially as we'll be seeing it in motion not as still frames :)

The PS3's shots do look slightly sharper but aside from that they are almost carbon copy of one another. Both versions looked like dog feces compared to Killzone2 and let's just see how many incompetent reviewers are gonna give the game 10/10 in graphics.

Don't hate...I'm not trolling here (I am a ps3 owner, and don't have a 360) but the top (ps3) pics look like how the 360 usually renders multi plat textures. Slightly crisper and better black levels.
Now the bottom pics look like what the how the ps3 usually renders multi plat textures. Not quite as good black levels, slightly blurred textures.

Strange...but nice!

If you want a different controller for your ps3 go here, The frag Fx is amazing http://www.splitfish.com/uk... a simple look around and you'll get it easy mouse and numchuck what else can i say. Except the games looks perfect on both systems
