It's looking reasonable - I am not sure it will be the 2nd coming it has been built up to be (not by Remedy but by fan-boys and press). I just hope it is as good as their older titles (Max Payne 1 & 2)

absolutely stunning, even in this poor quality footage you can see the attention to detail, notice the tree outside the window swaying in the wind. You can tell what kind of material the characters coats are made of! Wow, this just looks incredible, Im more hyped for this than Halo Reach.

i think making it linear will make it better. it wouldn't have worked as a free roaming game (there about causing mayhem when you take a break from doing missions) it would have been boring in alan wake.

Guessing that the Uncharted comparison is being made because some people want to mistake it for a movie, where Alan Wake is being set up to play out as a TV series. That where Wake fails is that so far from what I can see NPCs tun into paraplegics outside of cutscenes where in UC you'd expect a character would get up walk over and turn the lights back on if they were turned off.

Also, its going to be interesting to see if scenes like the bulldozer going through the house are scripted, or you have some direct level of interaction. Like and letting it run over you on its first pass or staying in the house as its torn down. As stupid as it sounds, its still not the same as in UC2 when you in the middle of a gun fight and the building you're starts to collapse - with EVERYONE scrambling for their @$$ while still fighting.

had SO MANY of those badassed moments it was insane.

I have some reasonably high hopes for Alan Wake, the little bits that slip out really interest me. I loved alone in the dark back in the day and even played the hell out of "a new nightmare" on dreamcast. As long as the game is engrossing as they sell it to be, I'm in

I see Uncharted as the great action movie made into a video game. Alan Wake is looking like a Stephen King movie made into a video game. This latest footage raises my interests for this game. The previous footage really didn't do much for me. Perhaps it's not the game play mechanics I like but how they tell the story.

I hope this game does for the 360 what the Uncharted series has done for the PS3. I always appreciate games that put effort into the plot and story telling.

I don't know if this game is being published by Microsoft but even if it wasn't I'm sure it won't ever come to PS3. I honestly believe that the demographic for this genre is much stronger on the PS3 side but that's just another excuse for me wanting the game on my PS3 :D

I know I made fun of the game here in N4G. Truth be told, this is one of the most expected games I want to see next year. Hopefully the PC version would be released.

Compared to Uncharted's graphics is a no-no but it looks better than 90% of the games out there. But it all boils down to gameplay, I loved Max Payne and I want to see what the devs could do here.
