Who Will Play Modern Warfare 2 On November 11th?

In the U.S.A this is called "Veteran's Day", in Canada this is called "Remembrance Day". Modern Warfare 2 is getting released on November 10th. On November 11th, this is suppose to be a day when we remember our soldiers that sacrificed their lives in the military. Now the really questions is "Who will just use this day off to play Modern Warfare 2?"

1.2 - This is silly,
Veterans Day doesn't mean you shouldn't do the things you enjoy doing on that day, it simply means that you take time that day to appreciate the sacrifice of your fellow countrymen. One of the best ways other than participating in some sort of local ceremony is spending the time off enjoying yourself if you are in fact so lucky to not have to work or go to school etc.

Sorry, I did read it and I've edited my comment, I meant Veterans Day, but the same can be said for Memorial Day or Remembrance Day as well, it doesn't change my point.

If you would actually read the article, this relates more to Remembrance Day not Veteran's Day.

Because I like to pay my respects for people who sacrificed their lives in the military.

2.4 - uhm, dkblackhawk
I also respect your choice, however I can tell you from personal experience many, many in the military will be spending holidays like Memorial Day and Veterans doing nothing else but playing MW and other games as well.

2.5 - @ 2.4
As e4ginfo stated above, this article relates more to Remembrance Day. Veteran's Day is on the same day that is why it is in the article.

2.6 - yes, I understand that
Sorry for the confusion with my first post, but my point remains the same, I respect your choice but again for those who enjoy Veterans Day or Remembrance Day playing any videogame isn't in anyway disrespectful, now if you say they are NOT thankful or don't appreciate why they have the freedom to do so on this special day then that would be different.

Because of how Infinity Ward is raping their customers of features that have been present in nearly every PC game in the last 15 years. I couldn't think of a bigger waste of $70 than MW2.

Same here, cant believe people disagree with you. They are happy supporting a guy that wants to raise games to 80-100 bucks, milk every franchise as possible, screwed the PC community(I know many don't care, but if it was on console, you would think differently)and has threaten other companies.

Does the author have a clue? 11 November is Veteran's Day, not Memorial Day. What kind of noob does it take to look at a calendar.

BTW, Veteran's Day is meant to acknowledge the sacrifices and dedication our veterans (of which I am one) have made for all. Memorial Day is to remember those who have given their lives in defense of our country.

So playing MW2 on Veteran's Day doesn't have anything to do with anything. It's a video game for chrissakes.

I believe in no way you can compare a war game to real war. I myself come from a military family and am a military historian. I find that in this day and age it is hard for some, not all, but some to relate to the military because we live in a "me" type of society where all people think about is themselves. With that said I think one of the best ways you can relate to people would be to use current technology. Games like the call of duty series and others really would be and in my opinion are a great source of material to help peoeple understand the importance and sacrifice soldiers give. So if anything Call of Duty is a fitting way to show your support compared to say playing little big planet.
