This was one of the best scenes ive ever seen in a video game. Its about time a dev shows some backbone and make a game realistic as possible. yes it was very disturbing and i am in no way condoning this sort of behavior whatsoever. But it adds so much more to the realism

I hope i get my hands on this game and they dont do a "recall" only 2 more days until release,i should be safe

this is crap why is everyone so sensitive about terrorism yet they are fine to go on a killing rampage in GTA?

people are saying it's crossed the line and that it is doing it in a real world setting so its different to other games yet GTA does all the same things often without any reason unlike in this where there is an actual story behind the massacre. People just want to hate this game

Uh ya, I can't tell you how many innocent people I've mowed down in my car after playing gta, and all the hookers I've murdered to get my money back. We all kill innocent people in games all the time, on purpose for the he'll of it. Why? Because we know it's something we will never do in the real world, lighten up people it's just pretend, that's what gaming is all about. And you all know you will still buy the game if you like modern warefare. If this prompts someone to do something like this in real life then they already planned to do so, is it sick and twisted? Maybe but shock factor sells games like it or not it's no different than Hollywood
making twisted war movies that are much worse. Still a day one purchase, this changes
nothing for me. If the
mission bothers you there is nothing wrong with that either, I guess some are more sensitive than others with this type of content. Just remember you have a choice, play it
or don't but don't ruin it for the rest of us because it offends you.

even the GTA series was blasted by the media for it's graphic violence.sure you can mow innocents down,but it wasn't a requirement in the game.mass killings was up to the player or side missions that you could take.it was played based on "YOUR MORAL CODE."

this game "REQUIRES" the player to go kill innocent civilians as a level.gamers have killed before,and it makes sense to get a feeling of why you hate the terrorists,but it should be up to the player to decide.sure it's a game,but that doesn't make it okay or right to do so.

secondly,games have either been changed,canceled,pulled off the shelf or banned because of the latest news of the day.when september 11 happened,games like command and conquer were pulled off the shelf because it had the picture of the Pentagon.

i remember even when a puzzle game like fantavision for ps2 was pulled from the shelf and couldn't be visible.games on dreamcast were canceled like propeller arena because you could fly into a building.

i know because i used to work at ELECTRONIC'S BOUTIQUE(bought out by gamestop now) when it happened.if the media catches wind,activision has a hand full of hot coals that i'm not sure they will be able to hold.

but we'll see.......it makes sense.....but it's still tasteless.

This is definitely for mature audiences it sets foundation for a very good story. Very gutsy move by infinity ward and i praise them for that, i think it really sets the mood for one hell of an action title.

If anyone thinks that is sick where is your opinions when movies like saw chops up humans in graphic ways. Nowhere that is where they are because it is a movie not some snuff film. This is a game with digital characters blowing away other digital characters. Whoopty doo it is not even real. Yet you kids think it is sick. Give me a break.

People who watch horror movies like saw did it to be shocked. You can't handle what appears in a video game then don't play it. What is wrong with some of you. the only part of the video that really hit me was when that one guy was trying to drag maybe his daughter or wife to safety, and the person playing just walked up and stuck a knife in his throat, gotta admit it's a little worse than I thought it was gonna be.

Where were all these concerns when GTA4 made mowing down civilians even more realistic? Oh of course there were law enforcement agencies that would come after you. But what do most people do when the police come after you? Try and take down as many policemen as possible before they can take you down.

But of course, when it becomes shooting up civilians in an airport, it becomes inappropriate.

And I agree with some of the comments here, it seems like it's only OK when the US does it (Hiroshima/Nagasaki)

This makes me angry in a couple of ways. The scenario is disgusting for obvious reasons, but it's also frustrating that a game developer like Infinity Ward is stooping to pure offensive shock value in order to get publicity. I won't ever doubt that they're talented at creating video games, but I lost a massive deal of respect for them. Count me out for MW2

While i'll admit it is pretty shocking but, you shouldn't freak out or deprive yourself of what may be a great single player experience; Let's look at some positives.

1) It is skippable
2) Not completely realistic
3) Just a game
4) Rated 'M' for Mature

-Firstly if you don't want this experience to taint your Single player run through skip it, but be warned *(spoiler)* you'll still have to defend the United States by fighting in a Virginia Suburb and throughout Washington D.C.
-Secondly notice how there weren't any children or older people at the airport that day, obviously Infinity Ward was just trying to get a point across and not show you how Worst Case Scenario it could have been. Also be glad there is no "Gore" per-say, while there is blood you better believe grenade and machine gun rounds aren't going to leave your "victims" intact.
-Thirdly, just a game; You choose whether or not you want to play it.
-Fourth no one responsible can say that their children or young adults were "corrupted" by this form of media because it does say recommended for 17+

No doubt IW was just trying to create an engrossing single player mission. But, with the back-to-back shootings in the US so close to the release date, this scenario takes on a, entirely different tone. The media's take on it could be interesting.
