PS3 Brings Hope To 10 year old Cancer Sufferer

Ryan Clayborn has been suffering from Muscular Dystrophy and MENS Type 2, but this didn't affect the smile which crept across his face once his wish was granted by the Kids Wish Network.

For some reason this guy sounds like me. I stay locked up in my room all day on the PC and I only come out to get a bite to eat, bathe, and use the bathroom.

Sony, being part of the solution. Not the problem.

1.1 - PS3 - It only does Everything!!!
From curing cancer to curing a cancer patient's blues. What more could you ask for from a multimedia entertainment center.

If you played how this kid plays (i.e. amount of hours), and you were healthy, your parents would be pissed with you lol. Guess they know it makes him happy, so they let him do whatever.

me too. that's what i initially thought of when i read the title, but if the kid is happy and feeling better, then that's good.

hope this kid can recover, so young and sick is very sad to see. i wish him and his family all the best.

pull through Ryan!

What the hell, I've got two PS3's and would be happy to give one away to a "needy" kid, organizations like this need better advertising for support.

Pure awesome! If gaming can bring any amount of happiness to a person in this situation than bring it on.

This story is great would be even better if Sony personally gave it to him to see the expression on that kids face when he opens up the box would be priceless.

Sounds like a hardcore gamer they have there. Reminds me of all those hours I clocked in on my PS one back in the day.

Sure, someone who's dying is going to spend the last couple of years of their life in front of the TV? Get out and enjoy the world while you can still see it

It's not even offering hope. He's living a sheltered life in front of a screen while he could be out enjoying life and everything it has to offer. Misleading title.

Sounds more depressing than anything. If my life were ending within a few years I'd be traveling, spending time with friends and family, anything but sitting indoors.

you have to understand that not much can be done financially when someone has cancer because they have to pay the bills, and especially in this economy

but I agree he should spend time with his family and friends

Mr T hopes the kid good wishes

What the hell kind of title is that, anyway? So some Florida-based charity pitched in and got the kid a PS3 and games, and the hit-seeking SOB writer decided to put that as the title?

Cool. For a second I thought Sony actually did something themselves like the way Nintendo did in a house-fire story I heard not too long ago.

Good for the kid though.

One day with his new 360 he doesn't come for dinner. The family look for him and notice the xbox has red rings of death. He didn't make it. Sorry I had too.

If this was MS you would all go "MS are so greedy they use cancer patients to market their console and earn more money!".
