"Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Xbox 360 sold 6,047 units between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1 to rank No. 6 in overall hardware sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 4,470 units the week prior.
In addition, the hardware ranked three software titles in the top 25 sales during the week."

Well, sak, the PS3 sold 6000+ more this week than it did the previous week. So it increased as well from the previous week. You can't honestly expect the numbers to indefinitely stay at the level they were at the initial price drop? That's just unreasonable. Of course it isn't selling as much now as it did the week of the price drop.

Well since Japan is the only place that completely shuns the 360. I would say the brand is rather strong.

Consider the percentage of Japanese gamers compared to other regions when looking at the consoles that are doing "well" in Japan. I mean the PS3 has only eeked out 3.3 mil in it's 3+ years.. If it wasn't for their developer community, Japan would have about as much influence in gaming as a place like India.

You have to take a good sizeable chuck of other markets other than US to win the console war, that the reason crapbox is heading for last place at an alarming rate.

PS3 is making huge gains in all markets, that includes the US.
