SoftSailor: With the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game being commonly regarded as the best shooter up to this date, it is only logical that fans around the world have only the highest expectations from this game. Did Infinity Ward please its fans? Read on as we will talk about various aspects of Modern Warfare 2in this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 short review.

I want to start this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 review by saying that I am very happy to find that the story behind a game has not been totally forgotten. Almost all games nowadays just leave out this aspect and focus on graphics and other bling-blings. Modern Warfare 2 is not one of these games.

"Modern Warfare 2 is too short in singleplayer" and has "great-ish graphics" - then its not worth the hight price tag imo and people r gettin suckered in2 the brand name.

Im only interested in the single player campaign thats y i shall rent it, ill play online 4 about 2 weeks and get bored of it

If anyone who plays MW2 will think that, hey, I preferred COD4, and stay in the COD4 online community instead.

As with all sequels, I think most of the COD4 and COD5 players will be glad to upgrade to MW2. But there will always be this portion of players who will stick to the original after they find that they don't like MW2.

Wonder how many players the COD4 community will have soon.

Another stupid argument about graphics. Ok the game doesnt have Uncharted 2 level graphics, but the game is fun fun fun!!! It doesnt need amazing graphics, and no reviewer will mark the score down because of this.

And noone is getting suckered in. COD has been the same since COD1 and it continues to sell more copies than any other game out there, so people like it.

Well what makes me laugh is in the UK MW2 is being sold for £26 in places. Thats like $40.

1.5 million? That's funny, it took 2 weeks for Battlefield Bad Company 1 to get 1.7 million on consoles exclusively. It took 1 week for Battlefield 2 to get 1.2 million and that one was a PC exclusive. Bad Company 2 is the first time a Battlefield game will be released simultaneously on PC and Consoles. Combine those two audiences, and I can guarantee it will surpass your 1.5 million estimate? 10 million? Well ... it's been 2 years and COD4 hasn't even passed 9 million yet, lets see what MW2 can achieve.

Its amazing how everybody is talking crap about MW2 when only a few people have played it. And whats even more amazing is how everyone is talking about Bad company 2 when NOONE has played it.

Lets just wait and see what the bad company beta is like first. We all know what MW2 is like and its already a proven good game.

I got my beta code from best buy earlier so im set, so lets just see what the fuss is about.

I also like how everyone was talking about MAG until the beta came out. Everyone then realised it was nothing special and youve all moved on to the next FPS to claim is better than MW2.

I don't understand the people who talk bad about MW2 too. It has been such an amazing gaming experience since the first part. Still such a high quality game ... it looks good and plays so fine. It brings so much fun when you put the game in your console and play for hours. I would never blame Activison, not after so many great games. I simply don't get it why people constantly bash one of the best FPS franchise ever made.

Don't kid yourself. BF:BC sold a total of 1.9 million copies so far so your dream of them selling almost 1.5 million of those copies in a week or so is a dream at best. Modern Warfare 2 will completely obliterate BF:BC2 in sales and in online community. Mark my words and enjoy your BF games.

And to correct you on copies sold for COD4, it is currently at 13 million going on 14.

If I had a PC to play it on I would pirate it too but unfortunately I'm picking it up on the PS3. My friend already beat it on the 360 a week ago(he has a modded 360 lol). All I have to say is that more power to you IW and Activision has really messed up a good thing with this game just because they know the majority of people will buy it anyway no matter what they do with the franchise.

think about it guys, how can a campaign that is like 5-6 hours long max, go to all of the following places; Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Rio De Janeiro, and Washington D.C? How can you develop a story when each location you are in is like a 1 hour experience?

I have this game and it has great story, great gameplay and missions, the spec-ops is better then horde mode and firefight and the multi-player is another phenomenon just like COD4, everyone will be playing it.

Uh you do realize this a multi-platform game? Which means if it were to win GOTY 2009 it would win on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. No, to your second comment also. I enjoy games, and PS3, PC, 360, and the wii have all great games, and that's what makes someone a gamer. I don't look at graphics when playing a game, and I do notice some of the flaws a game has,but the more I enjoy the game it usually outweighs the flaws. What makes you a fanboy, and not a gamer is that you constantly bash a system based on what your friends tell you about the system, and you think it makes you look cool.
