but the Pc doesn't come with a mic as well. You still have to go out and buy it. Steam doesn't have cross game chat(at least what i know of)

I'm sure that Valve porting their pc games to 360 is as easy as dropping a wad. They are not a little company, yet Gabe went on record saying they don't have the resources for ps3 development. Like anyone could believe that, coming from a long-time ex-MS employee.

While I agree that Live has a the stronger image of a better community, the "community" is hardly the issue here. If they're going to be like that, they might as well just be a first party dev for MS. Then everyone wouldn't have such a problem with them.

One more thought, they do know that they could create a fancy home space for L4D, as well as have their own store on PSN where they could introduce some of their Steam products? They could even have PS3/PC gamers play together.

I understand Live has more numbers, but there is equal opportunity for them to make money on both online services. It doesn't make much sense really, for an "independent" dev to be so against making more money.

That's pretty funny. I guess all 53 of the people on my friends list don't actually exist. Also the people that get kicked off socom for not having mics don't exist either. And all those levels in LBP were just randumbly generated.

That's fine by me though since the left4dead series doesn't interest me much. This excuse won't work with episode 3 so I hope it does come to PS3.

Everybody is going apesh*t over this, and yet, they obviously know it's the truth when they're acting so irrational. PSN has maybe 30-40% playing with a mic. Most of the time, such as Uncharted 2, you'll maybe see 1 person with a mic.

What's the premise of Left 4 Dead? *Gasp!* COOPERATIVE GAMEPLAY. How exactly do you play cooperatively, if you're not even able to talk to people? Hell, even I don't have a mic for my PS3. You want you just smack a wall to get your point across in games such as this?

The Xbox 360 comes with a mic. It's the majority of Xbox LIVE, and it's the only reason why most of you can say that it's full of racist pricks. I guarantee you that if everyone on this site had a mic, it would be a lot worse. Anyway, back to the point. The PSN is most certainly NOT mainstream, and to have a game that depends on acting cooperatively on a service where hearing someone's voice is rare would be a terrible experience.

I like Valve games. I like my PS3. But they are not "all that" imo, so whatever if they never make a game for PS3. Out of sight, out of mind, as they say. They are becoming a forgotten company to me. Wow, when will you PS3 fanboys realize that the PSN isnt selling video games... Since L4D is mainly a multiplayer game there is absolutely no reason that Valve needs to make it for PS3. They would gain absolutely nothing, in fact they would probably lose money.

Whats with all the hate. Damn some people need to stop being such know it alls. I have to admit I love playing online on my Xbox WAY more than PSN. Why? Well here you go.

I ONLY have people on my LIVE account if I know them in real life, maybe like 1 or 2 ppl I dont know in real life.

The argument about LIVE being this haven for swearers and stuff, ugh mute button? Kinda self-explanatory.

I only played UC2 for its campaign, then back to 360. UC2 could be fun, but if you get a connection error (which I do almost every other match due to the "Amazing Wi-Fi capabilities") then you lose $40,000 and your rank goes down, kinda a little overboard, don't you think? I went from rank 20 to 1 after getting 2 connection errors.

So in my case, I would rather pay for LIVE, which I still use wirelessly, and not get a connection error, than PSN, where you obviously get what you pay for.

Tell me if I'm wrong. . .
